    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I've been thinking about ordering a rack from Animal Plastics, but the one i want takes 1.5qt rubbermaids, i've never seen this size befor, are these hatchling racks? ..anyone have any pictures of them compared to a 12qt?, i need to know soon, thanks guys

1.5 quart are shoeboxes. I would advise you to go with the sterilite racks from AP, rubbermaid has a habit of discontinuing boxes all the time.

12 quart boxes are sweaterboxes, which are considerably larger.

thanks kelli, i looked at the sterilites, and the modle i want, it says it holds 6qt boxes, i have more than 15 geckos..no more than 400$, lol so i have to buy this one...i'll figure somthing out

thanks for the advice ;)

Hi Dan
you may want to consider to buy the new kind with the iris tubs from the container store. You have seen those at my house. I suggest those because they are complitely flat inside and much easier to clean. The other have some kind of track and your fingers always hurt a little at the end of scrabing few tubs. Anyway, that is just a suggestion, I have all 3 kinds, rubbermaid, sterilite and iris tubs and the last ones are definetly the ones you want to go with IMO. AP just made the all new group of racks with those iris tubs for you to chose from.
Good luck with that.
Alberto

thanks for the suggestion Alberto, i really appreciate it, we went over to target last night and i saw some 15qt tubs that where flat, so far i've seen 3 different kinds of 15qt tubs by setrilite, i've already went ahead and ordered the rack, but i will look into the iris tubs

thanks again

I wish the Iris tubs had been available when I got mine. They are definitely easier to clean. Next time I order racks I will be getting the Iris ones.

Just so you know.

Dan I custom built my racks and now am at a dilema. It seems that Sterilite has gone from a 4.5 quart shoebox to a 6 quart shoebox. The new 6 quarts are nice but they are approximately an inch taller than the old 4.5 qaurts. Although they allow more volume the surface area I think has remained almost the same. Just thought I would let you know. Not sure what they have done with their sweater boxes.
