    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I'd like to welcome to the world today (8/21/11) one of our 100% het. Albino/Pied females. Mommy is an Albino and Daddy is a Pied. She's a little more special than her brother and sisters because she was born with NO EYES. I've seen a kingsnake with no eyes once that was perfectly healthy and a you tube video of a Ball Python with no eyes that looked healthy and was even eating on it's own in the video.
**I know the pictures are pretty crappy but you could kind of see her.

I've seen this happen before, and it's just so bizarre to me. What would happen to make everything come out perfectly fine...except without eyes?!

Anyway, she's a cutie. ;)
 
I know nothing about BP genetics, but in many cases Albinism can be linked to eye abnormalities - wonder if there's any link there? All siblings perfectly normal or some with eye bulges?
 
The others look fine. No eye bulging.
I bred her Albino mom to an Albino male last year and had all perfect Albino babies. The Pied has also only produced perfect babies. Maybe there was a heat spike in the incubator that I didn't catch. Either way all the other babies that were born from different clutches came out perfect. A very well known breeder told me sometimes things like this just happens. It's a first for me and hopefully the last.
She's a great looking girl and should make a great odd looking animal.
 
Depending on how she turns out, if she stays all around healthy and eats well I "might" let her go. If anybody is interested go ahead and make me an offer. Cash is great and trade ideas will be considered. The only animals im interested in are Ball Pythons and Hognoses.

Even though she has no eyes she is still cute :) I would not be surprised if snakes lose eyes in the future due to evolution.........
