I've had his mother, Nyx, since June 2023 and acquired his father, Erebos, August 2024 who was at the end of his color transition so estimated 15-18 months. They were first paired late 2025 and Nyx dropped her first clutch January 4, 2026. After 144 days incubation, they began to pip with last fully emerged by day 150.
Authorities with Gonyosoma were thrilled to inform me that they couldn't find record of a US breeding of the black Selayar jansenii in at least a decade. This form is also highly regarded to be a separate species rather than a color variant of jansenii, but it has yet to be proven by scientific standards so they still share the same Latin name.
There are no females to ask or negotiate for (no, there are not yet more eggs incubating). Period. Please do not waste time asking. Please follow my Spotted Scales FB or Insta for updates, both are linked on the About section of my MM store page.
He is taking live mouse fuzzies every 5-7 days. Due to their high flight response, my primary focus has been letting them grow so handling has been at a minimum during cleanings since they do not sit still in hand. Getting these ad photos would have been hilarious to watch someone else do.
Be mindful of your temperatures and know that I will not ship in extreme heat (over 95° by reptile shipping company standards), no exceptions. I will be at 2 more expos around Texas then Tinley NARBC to which we can discuss delivery options.
