    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I got 2 leopard gecko eggs yesterday and had a few concerns. For one, they are usually more toward the top of the laybox and are actually visible for the most part and this time they were at the very bottom and I thought they were actually clumps of dirt, so I dont know if i turned them, or anything like that either. Really bad?? Also, are the eggs supposed to be squishy or hard like a chicken egg? Mine are squishy and fragile. I made sure they were not yellow or black or anything, i mean they are as white as can be, but I just need info. This is my first clutch from leos and I should be expecting more so help me out!

Sometimes leopard geckos turn their own eggs as they bury them. The only way to know for sure which way is "up" is to candle them. I use a small mag-lite to look for the blood ring where the embryo is attached. Then I mark it with a sharpie to make sure I always have the egg facing up correctly in the vermiculite.

Healthy leo eggs are white, oval shaped and firm, but not hard. If these are your first eggs and/or your geckos first eggs, they might not make it too far, but it is an awesome learning experience for you both. Just keep incubating and see how it goes, it sounds like you have some decent eggs. :)
