I'm planning on moving my small collection into a rack system and expanding, and I don't really have space for these tanks if I do that.
These tanks are made of melamine and have glass bottoms for belly heat. There's a small space at the top of the front of the tank for ventilation and the bottom front piece is removable so that the glass may be taken out and cleaned. Currently there is a heat pad on the (facing the tank) left side of both tanks. One tank has two clasps on the front, and the other tank has hooks inserted for a reptile hammock. The dimensions are 32" long x 15 5/8" wide x 16 3/8" high. They can comfortably fit two full sized leopard geckos and would also hold a juvenile bearded dragon as well as any other small ground-dwelling reptile. These would probably also be a good display tank for small colubrids and a young ball python. It's also possible to put a screen on the top of the tank to prevent escapees of small arboreal species, like anoles. If housing a species different from a leopard gecko in these tanks, it would be a good idea to put more clasps on the front of the tank to make sure it's secure (I've had one escape by my male leo, which is why there is a second clasp on his tank).
The only thing about these tanks is that they should not be kept extremely humid. The plastic coating on melamine is water proof but if too much water seeps into the slot where the glass fits in then there might be problems, unless it is sealed with silicone in which case the glass will no longer be removable.
I'm asking $45 for each tank (without the heating pad) or $80 if you buy them both. We can also work something out if you're interested in buying them with the heat pad. I'll include the hammock with the top tank. Before I get the tanks to you I will clean them with a vinegar/water solution. I'm asking that this be for local pick up or we can meet somewhere because they are big and heavy. If you are in New Hampshire or Massachusetts we may be able to work something out (I am out of Southern NH).
