We have two rare silver back jackals that we bottle raised. They are from the only litter ever born in the United States! They are sisters and they are almost 2 years old. They were both raised in our house and have never tried to bite. Anyone can walk into their cage. They are well socialized around all other animals and are extremely easy to care for. The neatest thing is that they can be kept outside and on display year-round. We have used them in our educational shows for the past year and people are amazed by their beauty. Most people don't realize how small and beautiful these animals are. They are nowhere near the size of a hyena, which is the common thought.
These are not house pets, nor will they be sold as such. They would make excellent animals for a zoo display or educational facility. We would like them to stay together, since they are always playing and love each other. We were asking $7000 for both of them, but we have decided that their being happy in a larger setup is much more important. We will let these magnificent animals go for only $700 each!
