2018 Irian Jaya Carpet Python
This carpet python was hatched in July 2018. The dam is an 87.5% IJ carpet and the sire is an 87.5% IJ jaguar carpet.
The snake is a shy feeder. It eagerly takes frozen/thawed adult mice or weaned rats from tongs but will regurgitate larger meals if it gets spooked. I had to place a divider between this snake's tub and its sibling's tub to prevent the movement of the other snake from spooking this one. It has only spit out three meals in two years and hasn't had the issue in the last half dozen feedings or so (after I placed the divider).
Very good disposition on this snake, thus far it hasn't required tap training like its parents have.
I'm selling the snake as unsexed. Thus far it has not had a shed with indications of hemipenes and several of its siblings have; that said, I can't guarantee it is female.
