We have added several beautiful juveniles to our website. All were born here and are in perfect health. They would be a great option if you are looking to add some color and robust, outcrossed genetics to your VPI projects, or if you want a backup male/female for VPI or pastel pairings. These could also be a really good option for someone wanting a colorful, beautiful, ultra-hardy pet boa. Mom and dad are both very sweet, tractable boas and also ravenous eaters. We feed very conservatively but I believe mom does carry "big" growth potential genetics and both mom and dad converted (grew) extremely fast relative to food intake while growing up.
The litter was from a first time mom and dad that resulted in 20 perfect babies. Dad is an RC Pastel VPI T+ albino, and mom is a beautiful, colorful unknown lineage Pastel (she has been featured in our social media posts). We believe this pairing has the potential to produce “double dose” pastel boas, and all animals from this litter are 100% heterozygous for VPI T+ albino. Some are already showing quite pronounced color saturation. What will be interesting is that the mom’s strong color up didn’t happen until ~2 years of age, so some of these are going to bloom at that time, and we believe, produce some markedly vivid pink/orange/red accented Colombians! There are also some very nice “clean” animals with light backgrounds and crisp saddles. Lots of variety to choose from in the litter!
