    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I have a 4 foot plus male water monitor for sale. He is just about 2 years old now. I can handle him but he is a little nervous when he first comes out of his cage. Eating excellent, he will take pre-thawed mice or anything else for that matter. I like to give him mice because I feel that is the best diet for these guys. Healthy and happy but has a scar on his back and leg since before I got him (see pic). Both are healed up very well. I can ship him to your door. Asking $350 plus shipping.

Lets try to give the guy/gal a break regarding legal ownership...We all have to acknowledge our state and local laws but we have no idea whether or not he/she has obtained a permit (if applicable)....Besides, maybe thats why their selling it....Perhaps we'll never know.

No permits available, also the law was made in 08 so if this animal falls under the restrictions, it is illegal to keep unless he has had it since before the law was passed if he has, the only option to get rid of it would be to adopt it out. If this animal is legal (my statements are made based on memories) then I apologize for interrupting the sale thread.

These are NOT illegal in CT.
No monitors are banned in CT.

That is correct Steve. These guys are perfectly legal in CT like all other monitors (except federally listed species). Thanks for your concern Cody, but you are mistaken. I run an educational reptile program and work closely with the CT DEP. See Connecticut General Statute §26-40A, the complete list of illegal reptiles at this time are the families of alligatoridae, crocodylidae, elapidae, viperidae, crotalidea, gavialidea and dendrobatidae. Also, the law does not apply to educational programs like the one I run, in fact i had two baby alligators in my high school class room earlier this year for a growth rate study.
