In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Well all these talk-a-bouts on new morphs, guess snake eyed tremper albino blizzard should be added to the list.
Its interesting how albinos have evolved to adapt to the light. I think that abyssal part of their eyes block light so it is less harsh on the eyes. This males(Snake, haha) eyes are symmetric, and its a clean split down the center. Ive seen rons site with half snake half normal, half snake half raptor, but I prefer symmetry. I dont know whther these eyes are linked to raptors but breeding should tell. The dark part spreads depending on how much light is out, less light, more dark. Also, Dan at Groovy Geckos has this males brother who had a similar iris to this male. Enjoy the pics,

Cool. Did you notice it before the "morph" was "released"?

Nope, hahaha,
I know this one had a diffrent type of eye then the rest of its siblings, didnt think much of it.
Then I saw rons site, and took a closer look.

Good Pics ! :bow01: wish i could get pics like that . LOL Actually quite a few people from here have talked about and posted pics of non- Albino Blizzards with eyes like that . Its not an entirely new thing, but i somehow am thinking a RAPTOR is not related at all to a Blizzard . know what i mean ? :shrug01:

Guess it will have to be tested out here as well :hehe: Thanks again for your donation to the Hayden Fund Auction . He`s a nice Blazing , even ate right away for me .

Now that is awesome and is a gecko I would pay high dollar for, there are not many of the higher $$ that I want but that one would be on the top of my list!

Nice gecko, As Dan noted seeing Blizzard like that isn't entirely rare and have been documented several times in non-albinos blizzards and to think this is thier way of evolving well that would be amazing in that how many generations of albino blizzards are there 2 maybe 3 at the most....
From what I have learned breeding these blizzards together doesn't get you more with that eye trait its just some radome thing. Dan I agree with you and think that this blizzard eye trait has no link to Raptors.

From what I understand, this eye "condition" in blizzards is somewhat common and is not genetic, but more random and it does not prove out with breeding....

my opinion

definately cool rob.
unfortunately, in my opinion i think there will be plenty of "new traits" that will start to pop up, especially with in or among many of the mutations. inbreeding or close family related individuals breeding together will increase the likelihood of any hidden genetic traits that will be expressed (sure there are the physical traits seen from the exterior, but what about internal traits say smaller heart, weaker kidneys etc?). i think they are cool looking but but i definately wouldnt want any "snake eyed" leos in my collection...just my thoughts

I don't think that the snake eye trait, at least at manifests itself in blizzards is any problem. My first blizzard had it and most of my adults and consequently most of my blizzard babies have black eyes to at least some degree. I think that this abberrent eye coloration is just something inherent or at least very common in the blizzard morph.

Maybe if blizzards were line bred / inbred to the extent that some of Tremper's lines seem to be, the expression of this trait would be more uniform / predicatable.

No geckos I own of the same sex within my BB group are related. The male with the snake eyes is this males brother, so I guess its really luck of the draw. Out of the males I hatched this year, Id say about half of them had snake eyes. Personally, I prefer regular eyes but its interesting to see variety among siblings. Some of my blazing blizzards possess minute traces of CT as well. Only time can tell whether its reccesive or not.

What I dont get is the eye being so black on these Blazings except for the one with "normal" Albino eyes you just posted . They`re brother I have here is the same way ( very dark).

Is that due to "cooling" ? I would expect just like with the RAPTOR/Eclipse , the Albino version of a "Snake Eyed" Blizzard would have half RED eyes that stay that way , unless of course they are exposed to cooler temps (?).

I find the eye very dark as well, I guess its due to them being blizzards I don't know Kelli's blazing bell has very red eyes. The tremper blazing on Prehistoricpets have dark eyes too....
