    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

So a local girl and myself have decided to do a few joint projects for the 2010-2011 season. So far, the season is starting off well. ;) I was providing both of the males and Sandy was providing both of the females for the projects, so I've loaned my boys to her. The following pics were taken by her.

Male blackback het albino (my snake) X female albino (Sandy's snake):

Btw, the shed skin in the cage belongs to the another mature male--a trick Sandy was using since her albino was in shed and the pair weren't breeding.)

I don't really know for sure if the male's blackback is genetic or not. I've bred him to a couple of normals in the past, and a few of the babies did have some blackbacks (2 out of a 9-egg clutch appreared to have blackbacks and markings similar to his, and 1 out of another 7-egg clutch). Sandy and I both are kinda hoping for whiteback albinos, but time will tell I suppose. :p

Our second joint project is male piebald (my snake) X female het piebald (Sandy's snake):

The male is still rather small--he weighs around 600 grams as of now, but he is producing sperm plugs. He's actually an '08 animal, and when I got him back in March this year, he only weighed 270 grams. Since then, he's fed regularly for me (until about 3 weeks ago when he became sporadic) on a weekly diet of rats rather than a maintenance diet of mice, and I think that's really helped him to gain weight. He's such a sweetheart, too. ;) No locks from him yet, but here's to hoping! :D

Good luck on the white back albino project. I hope the pied male will lock for you guys. Good luck to you both!!!!

Thanks much guys!

I think this breeder loan will work out OK. The only thing I'd really like to get out of the pairings myself is a female albino. Out of the pied clutch, I wouldn't mind having a female pied, but it's not the end of the world if I don't. ;) The girl who's doing the project with me does not yet have a visual pied, so I told her if the clutch was to yield just one, she's welcome to keep it since I already have one. I'm not really in it for major animals--just something the two of us decided on to help her get a visual pied and myself a visual albino. I had nothing else to put the pied to this year, and she didn't have a male het albino. Once we see what we've got, we'll either jointly sell the rest of the babies, or split them up as evenly as possible and sell them. But I'm not really doing this for the cash, anyway, and I really don't think she is either. And she's local, so I think that will help a lot when it comes to the joint project--I'm not big on shipping out animals for breeder loans (and have actually never done it). This is my first joint project with anyone, and this particular person is probably one of the few I'll ever do projects with--I've known her for a few years now, and I know she takes good care of her animals, as I have seen most (if not all) of her animals firsthand, and many of her setups.

Thanks for the kind words, Pam! :)

Here are some more recent pics for you.

Thanks much! I'm just glad the pied finally seemed to get breeding figured out. LOL Hopefully he'll continue to lock up and produce some nice half-white babies. :p

I'm not entirely sure if this is the beginning or tail end of an ovy but she's been favoring the cool end of her tub for a little while now and I just found her like this. It's certainly possible that it's just further 'building' but I figured it was worth snapping a pic to share either way. :)
