    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Now first I want to say that although there are a lot of extremely knowledgeable people here they need to remember that we all start somewhere. That means we ask questions and unfortunately the forum does not allow a person to interpret body signals as one would when in a verbal conversation. Sometimes to those of us who are new comments seem a bit like "well why don't you know that duh?" That said please allow me to ask my stupid questions.
Do leos bathe?
Can the smaller of two leos be the agressor?
Do males always fight if they are together?
I tried to change the size of my humidity box for my leos because they have gotten bigger and they don't fit in it real well anymore. Actually only one can fit at a time and that is a tight fit. The new humidity box did not work out well it wouldn't keep the humidity at all. So I put the old one back in figured getting humidity one at a time was better thatn not at all. But my albino(the smaller one) seems to be hogging the humidity box and my normal(the bigger one) has taken to bathing in the water bowl. I watched my albino walk over the other leo today and he just laid there and took it. The albino has become very hissy and bity lately(to humans has not been observed biting the other leo). It used to be calm would even hang out on my shirt for a while. Now they have switched roles. The regular is ok with hanging out and the albino is not. I talked with some people in leo chat and got a good link to try and figure out what sex they are because they are older now and I have figured out that there isn't any way the breeder truly knew the sex when he sold them to us, that is a whole other long story you don't want. Anyways they were supposed to be two grls after looking at the pics and looking at the leos my amateur eyes believes they are both boys.(wishing I had a good digital camera so I could post pics). Ok well after this extremely long post I hope that that you still have the patience to help us out. Any suggestions would be great. These were acquired in February '06 and I would venture to say they were no more than six weeks old if that really. Thanks

Loretta I suggest that you separate them. Even if they are male and female mix . Keeping 2 Leos together is very stressful. If they are both males then they will definitely fight and cause injury to one another. If they are male /female then the chances are good that the female will become pregnant way too early for her health. If they are female/ female they may or may not fight but it still raises the stress level as there's usually a more dominant one.
As for the humid hide situation, you need to either put in a 2nd hide or get a larger one back in there. In any case I STRONGLY suggest you separate the "kids".
Have fun with your guys !

for your questions:
no
yes
pretty much always (if mature)

I do agree that seperating these two is a good course of action. And yes, if you had agood digital cam, at the 6 months old they are I or many many other people should easily be able to sex them here. As someone who routinely keeps leos in groups, I can tell you that some minor spats is to be expected and is generally OK as long as you are keeping your eye on it. It sounds from what you are describing that your temps may be too high. Have you checked them recently? And you should have at least 2-3 hides per leo, one hot, one cool, one humid, although the warm/humid hide is often the same one. Hope that helps

Thank you for your responses. It seems that the temps were too high. Some one probably one of the boys had turned their ceramic heater ( for the winter) back on. Things are now getting a little back to normal. They have three different hides in all. As for the bathing I found my regular "bathing" in his water dish it was kind of funny. I gave him a swim in the sink for a few minutes and he enjoyed it. Probably because the overall enclosure was too hot and they were getting a bit dehydrated. Hopefully I will be able to keep the bigger hide moist now that its not 100 degrees. Again thanks for your help!
