    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I just got a crested gecko about a week or 2 ago. i have 3 questions, so far, haha. First, i was wondering if they bite, and if it hurts. Mine hasnt tried to bite or anything, its been really sweet but i was just curious. second, mine has a coupple small white bumps, mostly between his back legs, is that normal? and third, he is normally a green color, but today hes been this greyish purple kinda color, but the end of his nose is still the normal color he ussually is. any help would be awesome!

Everything that you said is normal......those little spiky bumps are on all of them. I have never gotten bit by a crested.........they are very trustable lol......i have gotten bit by a couple leos too(mostly juvies).

I've had a few babies take snaps at me out of the egg....doesn't hurt at all and quite humorous...
only other one that bit once was my biggest adult female...don't worry, no blood...pretty light, maybe it left a slight pink mark for a couple minutes...only happened b/c I was pointing to her while looking at other ppl and showing her to them...I pointed at her, holding onto her with one hand and my finger in her face...I felt something on my finger a sec and looked down at her...wasn't even startling enough to think I would drop her

and they do change color...they're one color when more dormant and one color when more active

this is one of my geckos in 3 stages of color
