    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

My wife and I are getting our first bearded dragon this Friday (maybe 2). There is a reptile rescue in northern Va that we are going to. Someone dropped off 4 babies that they "couldn't care for". We are getting one, possibly two of them.

I am attaching a picture of them, so someone could maybe tell me what color they would be considered. I have looked all through this forum, and everyone has some BEAUTIFUL beardies. I hope ours turn out as nice. I know this picture isn't the best, but I will post better ones Friday after we pick them up.

Also, what is the best "bedding" to use in their tanks? Should I use the reptile sand found at most pet stores? Any advice (on this or any other beardie info. I should know) would be greatly appreciated. THANKS!!!

These (from the picture) look like they are of a normal pattern. As they are young, don't use sand... I would use newspaper or paper towels for them (sand can cause impactions) Don't purchase both if either one is a male, males fight with eachother and, if it is a male and a female, then they will breed, probably at a young age, which can cause health problems for the female in itself. Also, if they are from a pet store then they are probaly related and since dragons have a small gene pool (they is no exportation from Austrailia, and so all dragons are descended from a few founder animals) they may have offspring with birth defects.
