    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Gah, those photos of the boa make me shiver... Please post pics of your animals in their enclosures; it's easy to take them out and snap shots in a random rubbermaid. >.<
 
Maybe some of you will disagree with me, as the BOI is NOT a judicial court system, but I still believe that someone is innocent until proven guilty. Considering that "Jessica" is apparently not even who she claimed to be, I don't believe any of her accusations should hold any weight (especially given the fact that no evidence was ever shown to support her case). Again, this is only my opinion, but her accusations of Amanda, who did come here and share her side of the story, should not cause Amanda to be labeled as a bad guy.

I agree with that.

Seeing the cage/rack set up would make all the difference.

I can take any snake out of a poop crusted tub and put them in only clean rubbermaid in the house.
 
I hate to see animals treated horribly but right now theres nothing that can come of this thread. Obviously Amanda isn't going to post pictures that will be convicting to her and I'm sure she's going to say "yes I have the best quarantine procedures on earth". I'm not saying she's in the wrong, but if she is in the wrong she's not going to openly admit it here and this is just going to be a he said she said game. I'm just saying, this thread really doesn't serve any purpose here.

I see what you are saying but would like to add an additional perspective. I think the thread has some value in showing the OP in a somewhat negative light, and that might be something to consider if one ever has an opportunity for a transaction with the OP.

In addition, the day is not over yet for this thread. This community is quite large and there is still the possibility that people who have had dealings with Amanda may come forth and share their experiences.
From a review of her past posts it does seem like she may have had quite a few transactions, some of those involved may come forth, and some may have actually visited her at her home and have opinions on the critter care they saw there.


As with any post, one evaluates such posts using one's common sense whether the content is either positive or negative.

Your right on that aspect. If nothing else this will serve as a warning to Amanda that hey people are watching so if your in the wrong you better clean up your act before others come forward and give us information about your horrible tactics.

Dustin, I do understand where you're coming from, but shouldn't this hold true for everyone? Because we are a small community, I believe we should each hold one another responsible (especially since we are all dealing with live animals). I just don't think that because one person points a finger at another person, everyone should jump on the bandwagon and start pointing, too.

IF this information had been brought forth with some strong evidence to prove what she was saying was true, AND had "Jessica" represented herself properly, I would totally agree with those that expect Amanda to now show proof that she is NOT guilty of such accusations.

I've never met Amanda, nor have I ever had a transaction with her so I'm really not defending "her". I'm looking out for everyone one of us that someone with a gripe cannot point a finger and we all believe the accused is guilty base solely on the finger-pointer's word. I would do the same for anyone else in the same situation.

Your right, I wasn't convicting Amanda I was merely saying that at this point she is innocent untill proven guilty and that if she is guilty (only she will know that) she should fix what she's doing wrong because eventually it will be on here again. I don't think she should have to prove anything. The law isn't guilty untill proven innocent, its the other way around.

Excellent perspective, and a protection for those who may be falsely accused of misdoing.
 
Whatever happened with this? the acused never showed her face after being asked for more pictures. A case like this with an animal in that condition should be investigated a little more wether or not the snake is in that condition because of her or the previous owner. To me she made it sound as if the snake did not arive to her in that condition but looks that way due to giving birth. An animal should not look that horrible just from giving birth.

This is the quote I was speaking of which leads me to believe that the snake looks the way it does after being in her care not before.

But I never heard back from her.

After seeing this thread and a couple others about her, I can say she will not get my business.
Sorry Amanda, I try and respect animals as much as possible, and even though everyone is innocent until proven guilty, being an Animal Control Officer myself, I have seen many instances where its better to err on the side of caution than not.
