    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

A.N.G. Pets and Exotics - Disgusting!

Maybe so. Then again, I could have stated my comment was sarcastic, but you would have to read through the hole in the smiley's foot.

John, Mike, and Adrian,
I don't want to take this thread too far off topic, but my comment was one of playing a bit of devil's advocate regarding the "moral" view, and using myself and my critters as the example. Since others had raised the moral issue, such that one's view was morally superior to another's, I only wanted to highlight that its a matter of degrees. In my case, as John noted, I breed a delicate animal for profit. I would be naive to think that a higher percentage of my critters survive once out in the marketplace say than someone who sells beardies, etc. I sell a higher risk animal for sure. To those who tend towards, or even embrace, the Humane Society view, it is a valid argument that what I do is not of the highest moral cloth, at least to them, and they hold themselves in high regard from which to look down on me .. and YOU. Mike, I chuckled when I read your comment, secure in knowing that the only folks who would hold me to such accountability would not be customers of mine anyway.
Bottom line IMMHO is that I recoil a bit at the ad for the eyeless boa, and at the price and profit hoped for. Rhetorically debating, the original ad poster showed his character otherwise. Looking just at the ad, I do not hold the seller in any moral contempt though. I profit from the sale of animals that in many cases end up not being well cared for. Even unto myself, that requires a certain moral trade-off to keep doing it.

You know Jim, I was just about to buy some animals from you, then you posted and now I personally hold you accountable for the deaths of all chameleons.

Even at your worst Mike, you got nuthin' on my ex-wife :)

Back to topic, my underlying thought, regardless of one's own personal take on the ad, was that to hold those amongst us who had a different take as being of lesser moral fiber was a bit hard to agree with.

All I have to say this is really funny I have done business with a.n.g and I consider him one of the good guys. He has gone well out of his way for his customers and as to regards of the snake I personally see no problem with it its an oddity just like two headed snakes and turtles except this one is not suffering and eats well, I also personally feel that culling the snake would be far less ethical than trying to make money off of it.

Good for you. I for one am past the "oddity" and "culling" argument and am more concerned about A.N.G.'s less than honest behavior by coming across as some unidentified third party when in fact he was the ad's originator. Goes to character, of which, he apparently is lacking. Had he just identified himself as who he was and defended his ad, the "oddity" and "culling" argument would have still persisted but at least his honesty would have remained in tact.
