    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I read somewhere on the internet that Africal fat tail geckos have relatively strong skin compared to other kinds of geckos so you can ultimately hold them more. How do they compare with leopards?
I KNOW of (only) one fat tail in the city (I might try one more store) and it is really cool - totally lively and jumped on a cricket when I was at the store... but it has a stubby tail (I guess regenerated). Should I get a leopard in that case? There are also these baby Leopards - would I just want the most aware, responsive one?
Thanks.

Yep, Aft's are much more docile than Leo's, mine will sit in my hand or on my arm for long periods without getting skittery. They arch their back when you pet them looking like they just love it compared to a leo who usually takes off. The regen tail won't affect it in anyway except looks.

Yay!!! But...

Yay I got the AFT gecko, it is so cool and it seems to be gentle.
I got a screen and a basking light but forgot to get a red light and I have not gotten a heating pad yet. I feel bad about putting that bright light on all night but I just dont wantit to get cold.
Maybe turn it off now and when (if) it gets cold at night try to wake up and turn the light on... my room is warm in the evening and in the morning but I'm not sure about 4:00 am. I'll try to get a picture up in the next while. Bye!

I prefer leos. My leos arch up there back like they wanna be pet and they come out with me everyday! Mine are really docile. I guess it matter when you take them out 15 mins a day each reptile.
