In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I thought it was a good idea until my truck froze in.

Darn! I'm surprised it wasn't the front that caved in first. That's where all the weight is. Darn lucky you weren't trapped inside at the time.

You have to love ice fishing one of the only sports you can do outside all day and never have to worry about your beer getting warm:beer:

Now I'm trying to decide if your fish are pike or lake trout...

Darn! I'm surprised it wasn't the front that caved in first.

The momentum from going 25 mph busted the ice, but the front end bounced over making room for the bed to drop in. The front end is actually resting on 8-9 inches of ice, over 2 x what is needed to hold a car.

The only reason it went through is because of the huge cracks that we didn't see. the ice was only around 2-3 inches thick in between the cracks.

I thought it looked a little familiar. That's a beautiful area, but I've never had any luck fishing there. I always catch squirts.

Hopefully you won't get much water damage with your truck, you really lucked out with the engine not submerging.

Good luck with it though!

Thats crazy man ....lol I thought bad things like that only happed tio me...Glad you werent hurt though....

5 inches of ice is sufficient to hold a car???

... brother, you've been drinking too much Green Bay Packer brand Paint thinner. (Just kidding you!!) You said it was resting on 9 inches - over 2x the amount needed - that's maybe enough for an ATV according to the Fish and Game guys - but not enough for a truck.

I'm glad it didn't go all the way down - man that's expensive.

People don't realize that speed on the ice really can bust it up. I cringe when guys in MN fly 50-60 mph over the ice - yikes.

Ice fishing is truly a great sport. You guys from FLA don't know what you are missing. . .
