    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

And yes, I know my standard policy is to ban someone who does such a thing to bypass a past ban or suspension. But I have been putting it off pending my reply to the thread Kelli posted in this forum, since I believed much of Marcia's antagonistic behavior stems from that same event. But if Marcia continues with this sort of behavior here, then obviously this is a completely separate issue, which will be dealt with separately.

But in the meantime, Marcia, you are NOT welcome to use this site to promote yourself, your business, nor your animals. You can't have it both ways here.

Yep, no doubt. But that happens when the cops walk off the job.
 
Some of us want our cops back. The hostilities are not good for the board, the hobby, for many in the Fauna family. :(
Can't they come back just a little? We know it is a difficult, thankless, horrible, time consuming job that doesn't pay and that sops up time the cops could be doing other stuff that's fun instead of drudgery, but...

Hmmmm. I think if we want em back, we might hafta make it worthwhile. Looking at the aforementioned job description, it's a wonder we got any cops at all......
 
Cops are fine, IF you have good ones.

Cops are the problem if they aren't honest and/or up to the job.

You've had both Rich.

I suspect that if you give this more time, especially as the season wanes and folks do less business, things will cool out a bit and we will come back more to the center.

It's better than it has been and could be worse.

Sometimes it takes more than a month or three for things to find an equilbrium.
 
:iagree: I would really like to see a lot less swearing and or no swearing at all on this sight. I feel that swearing detracts from the poster and dilutes the integrity of what this sight should stand for!!

Using profanity on this site (if detected by myself or the site moderators) will earn the poster a warning point. 12 of them will get them fined and suspended. It's one of the few rules I left remaining, but with a less severe penalty attached.
