    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

A question regarding shipping ettiquette

Hey,

Fortunately, I have not had many of these problems with my own shipping.

However, he's my personal policies:

1. carrier delay-preventable or not- and I get a refund, it is offered to the consumer.
2. carrier delay- preventable or not- and I don't get refunded, it is offered to the consumer, i bitch to my sales rep at the shipping company
3. carrier delay- becuase they don't guarantee a 8:00am or 10:30am delivery time due to extended route, rural, or residential delivery- if I forgot to double check and forewarn customer-I refund the customer
4. same as three but I forewarned the customer it may not get there by the set time-I don't refund the customer
5. Customer denies package(no damage), misses pickup at airport, is not there to recieve package. I don't get a refund for the first attempt, I get charged for the return to me, so I keep double shipping out of the money sent for the order, return the rest(minus any deads), and blacklist the customer.
6. Customer denies package due to obvious damage-I refund the shipping, I handle all claims

thankfully number 2 has only happened twice in 10 years of shipping, and 6 has never happened.

Thanks
ben
