• In the past two days I have gotten emails asking about being requested to provide credit card info in order to register and also to make a post in the classifieds forums. PLEASE NOTE: In no instance will this site ask you for this sort of information. The only time any request for payment is made is if you choose to opt-in for a higher membership level, and that is done SOLELY through PayPal. Anything else is coming from a source other than this site. My guess is that this is coming through Google Adsense, but when I can get someone to send me a screen shot of this sort of request, I will know more.

    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Many people that have tried to contact me via phone and email in the past short while and I want to apologize for being so hard to find and just let everyone know, for those that don't, I have been having some health problems of late and those combined with stress just put me in the hospital this whole week, Monday to Saturday with neumonia on top of everything else. I am home tonight, rough around the edges and I will be slow to get back at things as I have much catching up here with my stuff before I can move to anything else. I just want to assure everyone that whatever it is that you have contacted me on, I have your messages/mail/email and will get back with you shortly. Please be patient with me and I promise we will figure it out. Thanks everyone and have a good new year.

Hang in there. I just got out of the Hosp bout 3 weeks ago with pneumonia & brochitis PLUS my potassium level was so low..the DR. said if I'd had waited 1 -2 dats later. I would have been dead! Seriously!
I'm a nurse too! DUH. Make sure to move around, keeps your lung from filling up & loosens mucous

Don't go out into crowds

ALOT of fluids...water & 100% friut juice

Hope you feel better soon buddy, pnuemonia sucks and takes along time to clear up under the best of care......relax, don't push yourself and remember health first. Need any help covering things until you're up and around friend just ask.
 
Thanks very much everybody. It is always tough getting sick but I am one of those people who has a tremendous need to avoid hospitals. I have been a patient in hospitals only twice since my birth, prior to this and those were just in and outs for some stiches and meds. So this was really a wake up call for me with cat scans, chest films, doplers, cardiac echos and on and on. I have been sick for some time and I guess just the sick combined with stress put me over the edge. I am home and still miserable but much much better than when I was stuck in a hospital bed. I think that the worst part are the meds. They seem to just make you weaker and even more sick than you were before you started. But oh well, after all these years in Michigan, it is second nature for everyone to be sick when we go from 50 degrees and rainy to 20 and snow every day. Everybody here is congested and ill. I guess that is the main reason you meet so many people from Michigan when you go to Florida or Arizona.

I just want to wish everyone a great new year. I'll be here cleaning snakes and popping pills. Man if that is not a full new years eve I don't know what is! Be careful and have a great night. Evan

I deal with sick folks all the time. I can say they all have one thing in common. Not one of them likes their condition. Evan, you are one of the good guys in the herp arena and I hope you do recover soon. I don't know what I would do if our roles were reversed. I have about 48 snakes. Everything from hatchling corns and black rats to adult suris and womas. My wife HATES snakes and my kid is not real enthusiastic about em' either. It is a solo project plus I have 10 colonies of feeder rodents to care for as well. I tip my hat to you sir. I feel good most of the time and I have my hands full most evenings. Please accept the assistance of other professional herpers if needed. I am not one who asks for help either but sometimes you need an extra pair of hands. Get well sir. David Boggs
