Ok so i was looking for this thunderdome thing i heard about but couldnt find it so i am using the everything else page .....I got on this site right before the PNHS sale to find out info on the society here since i was a member in Florida i thought i would like to join the one here ....so i watched posts and made a few posts which was sort of a test feeler to see how people react and the advice that i would get .....well i got alot of good advice and some not so good advice ....so i went to the show to try and put names with faces .....one of the first people to greet my daughter was Deb Alvers and my wife was delighted she took her to see the new babies while i was walking around looking ..Thanks Deb .....then i met Simon and Patrick who were so informative and i actually bought a spider from them ....Then i walked past a table only to hear a woman putting a child down and watching the childs father console him after walking away from the vendor ......so i walk around a little more and pick up some supplies then decided to walk back to this table with my wife and kids ...i was greeted by another woman and her husband and we started talking about cages then the previous woman was listening and decided to chime in with facts about other vendors sex lifes and why i shouldnt by from this person and that person which totally turned me away from her and i got a card from the man and her husband .....then i had something stolen from my bag before we left ...so i wasnt so happy ...so i made my decision not to join this show ...i have been watching the replies of the people this woman was talking about and they seem to do nothing but help others out and give informative answers ...so i was confused ... So i sit back until this show and thought maybe i would join this time to help foster at the least.....but ended up spending the money on an animal ...sorry i am an addict so shoot me ...lol... I dont understand how one person can talk behind all of your backs and smile in your face at the show .....I for one am tired of SNAKELADY KATIEM OR LEGLESS IN SEATTLE talking behind good peoples backs making up lies and trying to down play people to get what she wants ....if you guys want to sit here and let her talk about you and call you Bwords and lesbians and horrible reptile keepers and push alot of people away from the herp society then be my guest ......the more you let her chalk her backstabbing up to MISCOMMUNICATION then the more she will do it .....if you dont believe what i have to say then i can give you more then a few references to tell you different .....I was suprised to see her bouncing around so happily at the show after such a terrifying super painful accident ....oh and by the way Katie I DID NOT CON CHRIS OUT OF ANY SNAKES so please keep my name out of your lies.....I am tired of your lies and hurting and using people and no one stepping up and CALLING A SPADE A SPADE ....YOU ARE A BACKSTABBER USER AND LIAR .....we arent the shady ones YOU are Get over yourself ...we have a name for you back in Florida ....Backwoods Breeder ...you know the ones who think they know all and cant keep their animals ...you forgot the people you have been bad mouthing have seen your cages and how you keep your animals with the months of urates mites and defacation in the cages .....you have opened the can of worms now deal with it ......I am sorry for this but it has to stop ......THIS WAS ORIGINALLY POSTED ON PACIFIC NORTHWEST HERP SOCIETY PAGE BUT SINCE SHE IS WELL KNOWN HERE I THOUGHT I WOULD LET EVERYONE HERE NOW AS WELL ......ESPECIALLY WHEN SHE PROVENT A MITES HER ANIMALS RIGHT BEFORE SHIPPING

1. WELL WELL WELL....Today I got a call from someone I consider to be a friend, come to find out KatieM Told this person, that and I quote

"Jut an FYI - I obviously am not trying to tell you not to speak with Aimee and Deandre Ross, just know that they're amazing users. Seems they've even gotten Chris to give them free snakes. They're going around and getting free snakes from everyone, including me, and then treating the person like **** once the "free" stops, and moving on the the next person

Now I dont know what I did to deserve this, but to say that my husband and I are hurt is an understatement!!!! I thought that we had been good friends to Katie, But obviously I was really wrong. Now this could have been brought to my attention, however it was said behind my back, and that I do not agree with. FYI to Katie and everyone else, I never asked Chris for free snakes and chris you know who you are....lol The deal was done and My husband and I were asked to take in 3 snakes because we could give them a good home. I am very appalled that things had to happen this way.

MY HUSBAND AND I ARE GOOD PEOPLE WHO HAVE NEVER TREATED ANYONE BADLY AND WE HAVE TRIED OUR HARDEST TO STAY AWAY FROM THE DRAMA, BUT I WILL NOT ALLOW SOMEONE TO RUN OUR NAMES THROUGH THE DIRT....

I know for a fact that Chris was simply looking for a good home for those snakes. And what better home than Ross Reptiles. They are good people that take great care of there snakes. It is despicable to talk bad about someone just for giving a snake a good home. We all have done it!

1. isnt it funny how when Katie was in Hawaii that those users went and pulled out the baby snakes from their mothers so they wouldnt get killed .....hmmmm i wonder who that was and i wonder who talked someone out of buying a snake because it was to good to be true then went and bought it for themselves .....or maybe the one who bad mouthed another person to get the snakes he wanted for his 9 yr old daughter ......geee i wonder .....wow i would love to bring out the other names that were drug through the dirt but i dont have permission as of yet but i am sure that people will want to know

I am assuming that I am the "Chris" being mentioned... if not... sorry in advance! I thought posting the situation being discussed (the "Chris" snakes) might be a good idea for background purposes.

My father owned a fairly substantial collection of snakes and was unable to care for them after having a series of strokes. My wife and I work with rescuing larger boids and already had a house full of retics and burms--there was no feasible way to keep everyone after a group of 5 new retics came in all at the same time.

My wife and I decided we would keep anything that was "normal" (i.e. a normal BP, a common boa, etc) and find new homes for anything worth anything to ensure the people that got them would keep them. To do this, we ended up parting with some of our personal snakes. We also decided that the price of free was good... but they would have to go to either a) a member of the local herp. soc., or b) a regular associate of the local herp. soc.

The people that ended up getting them, did us an immense favor and I can't begin to thank you all enough for giving them great homes.

So, just to clarify: No one conned me out of anything... they actually came to the rescue!

I'm not sure why this thread was started exactly, or who it is about other than someone named Katie.
If you have a business complaint about someone, then take it to the BOI where it belongs.
These sort of mud slinging, personal bashing threads, whether deserved or not, have no place in the general forums. They're not here as a platform for drama and personal squabbles.
