In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy a4strick, Sydney Michelle Strickling, terrible chameleon transaction

If you can come on here and comment, I think you could pretty easily type in Paypal on your phone and issue a refund to her right now, two year old kid in your car or not.

If you have a device that has a web browser, it should have a paypal app, at least a downloadable one. I know all iPhones and Android-based phones have official Paypal apps, created and sanctioned by the company.

Download it, pay her that way, and be done with it.

Its kind of obvious i am not dissapearing as i am still commenting

Hasn't stopped people before. They come and comment, making replies just like yours, then later on they disappear. Nothing is obvious to me yet.

We'll see if you refund the money or not, then things will become more obvious I'm sure.

So I just got a chance to read some of this new BS from her, I have spoken with Kristy myself and SHE/KRISTY took the photo in question! So Sydney, YOUR photo for me to remove??? I dont think so. I have to believe Kristy will back me on this as we just spoke. Wow, Back on topic though, REFUND AMY HER MONEY!!!! How many more people need to say it??

Oh yeah and the geckos that you sent to me were in Kristy's care. You had just got them from her right before you flipped them to me- remember??? Thats why they were healthy! So in the short time you did have them you or your brother "supposedly" managed to breed a 23g beautiful gecko when she was underweight. You should refund Amy's money and realize that the animals you own or sell should be healthy and taken care of by you. They rely on you for their well-being.

I think you should probably keep this to PMs between you and a4strick - it's off-topic and it sounds like you're making pot-shots just for the sake of it, and although this IS a BOI thread, I think it's been made very clear that her husbandry has been sub-par at best and Amy deserves a refund, whether the animals in question are shipped back to her ambiguous house location or not.

The point of this BOI is for there to possibly be a resolution for a terrible transaction for the chameleons, not because you feel the need to constantly bring up the fact that she sold you an underweight and wrongly bred crested gecko or the intricacies of someone posting a photo on facebook by someone else.

How about everyone other than Amy shut the @#$% up and give me a chance all you say is refund her money I already stated I would when I get to my destination. I don’t care how safe people think their phones are I am not one of those people. I do not log onto or load anything on my phone that has important information on it pertaining to bank accounts etc.

:rofl: You obviously don't read BOI very much people are going to continue to comment, probably especially because they know it is getting to you. Still deserves a refund and should have to wait for you to be ready. MONEY BACK NOW!

I think you lost your chance for respect from the people on this thread a long time ago, and usually it's when people handle situations in a logical and rational manner that people will come to respect what you have to say. People will still comment here because you made a giant fuss about it to begin with. The censored cursing probably won't get you anywhere either.

Well I'm certainly glad I never bought geckos from you! Give Amy her money. You're just making excuses at this point. You should just write a check and send it since you aren't "at your location". There's lots of other ways to give her back her money.

FWIW - I think Sydney or her husband Adam are in the Military. It could be another way to track her down if you don't get your money. You could also file a complaint with her CO if you find out where she is stationed.

I originally asked Sydney Strickling to extend her 5-day health guarantee after I received the 2 chameleons. I also filed a claim with Paypal, asking for a refund of $300 from her. I believe both requests were EXTREMELY reasonable. She denied both. This is what she emailed me at 11:22pm EST, May 20, after she was notified of the Paypal claim-
nice paypal claim id like to know why you think this is worth 300
I have since blocked her from my email, as I see absolutely no use in talking with her.
I then filed a claim with my bank, the $800 was directly transferred from my bank to her through Paypal. My bank credited the entire amount to my bank account. However, since my bank reversed the payment with Paypal, PP then put a negative $800 balance on my PP account, and I was asked to pay the amount back to PP. I called them, I was told the claim was closed, and I would have no choice but to pay the $800. I called again later that day as suggested by a wonderful moderator, the claim was reopened. Paypal now has refunded the $800, so I no longer have the negative balance. They are now trying to recoup the money back from Sydney. I will be notified of the outcome. IF she does pay Paypal back $800, she will need to send me the shipping cost to ship the 2 chameleons back to her, plus any medical costs and care that incur while they are in my care. I will do my best to care for them, however, if they die, it is no one's fault but HERS, and I owe her nothing. I will let you know when I hear from Paypal.

That's great to hear, I really hope paypal finds in your favor and follows through with making her pay back the $800 instead of you. Hopefully you are able to nurse them back to health, it would be really heartbreaking to see either one of them pass due to her negligence in this matter.

I agree she needs to pay the full price back plus shipping costs to return them to her, but the vet care as well? that might be a bit unreasonable unless she agreed to you taking them in beforehand (assuming she did not based on what has been posted). If she does cover those expensenses, then it would reflect better on her of course to TRY to show she cares about the animals in question. (just my opinion)
