    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hi
I've just been on the parazap site and followed the link for absolute calcim, they state that it is a calcium suppliment that is made from plant mater rather than rock/bone. Has anyone heard of, or used this product, if so what were the results, is it something I should consider buying for Dargo.
Thanks.

To me, it seems questionable at the very best.

The idea of "organic calcium" is just silly; calcium is an inorganic mineral, and the forms currently used for supplementing (mostly calcium carbonate, CaC03) contain carbon, making them organic, by definition (and, ironically, the calcium compound in bone, hydroxyapatite (Ca10(PO4)6(OH)2), is inorganic).

Their assertions about the bioavailability of calcium and the depletion of modern vegetable sources are dubious at best; a quick google turned up peer-review scientific papers attesting to the opposite of their assertion on the former, while they totally fail to give any source for the latter (meaning they actually just made it up). I honestly have no idea what they mean by calcium from plants; given they don't actually name the calcium compound in question, I see no reason to expect it to be any different that other calcium compounds in bioavailability. The assertion that reptile eggs are high in silica is also one I've been unable to find support for in my breif search, though in my scientific papers in reptile eggs, they're noted as having very high calcium content.

While I can't say for sure without more info, the manner of presentation (including the total lack of references for their claims) makes me very skeptical.

Henry
