Adam and Ritchie both good guys!!

I have had only one truly bad experience in a snake purchase so far and at that time I stood to lose $1500 with the seller telling me "too bad". Long story..... but it was because of these two men standing up for what was the right thing to do that I DID receive a complete refund!!

Ritchie totally ferreted out the connections and did his wonderful sleuthing online and kept me up to date with his findings as well as posting them....... he chose to help because it was the right thing to do and I was surprised by how much info I wound up with.

Adam contacted the "seller" by phone after discovering this person was from his old neighborhood.... he wanted to hear the other side of the story and contacted me right after the call. We spoke at great length about the situation, potential outcome and how I may be able to get my refund.

I totally believe that it took the knowlege I gathered from BOTH Ritchie and Adam to finally obtain my refund. I have thanked both of them sincerely. It really pains me to see these two people really banging heads when I believe the bottom line is that they are both on the same side of the fence in the war against bad guys in this business. I would help either of them any way that I could as they helped me.

FWIW, Adam was very upfront about his past "mistakes" and told me a pretty fair amount about himself while we talked on the phone. Admitted that he handled a couple situations in a bad way, and wished that it would be possible to do over. He assured me that his intentions were good and that he just saw a situation that he felt he might be able to personally help.... and as it turned out, he was right.

I'm an optimist and basically like to believe that people can and do learn from their mistakes..... it seems like such a waste of time to do anything but learn from mistakes of the past and just move forward in a good way.

As a parent, I learned early..... we may not always "like" the things our children do, but that doesn't mean we don't care about them any less...... and we still love them. Even with their imperfections. Giving anyone, positive reinforcement for the things that they do in a good way is a pretty good way to get more of the same behaviour from them. There is too much good happening here to have the need to bring up this old baggage. I'd send them both to a corner to sit for a timeout and have them think about how they can overcome this obstacle.

I am very reluctant to post this.... I know once I hit submit it will be up here for all to disect word by word. I just want everyone to know upfront that I am a very independent person and have no "loyalties" to anyone other than my own sense of what's right and fair. I have had mostly excellent luck with meeting fine people in the herp community and I hope that none of those will hold it against me for strongly supporting both Adam and Ritchie and most of their actions here. I just HAD to put in my two cents because of the one "situation" I did have...... and how these guys were both great then, as I imagine they both still are. It just seems foolish to watch this "catfight" carry on any longer. I know it's hard to forget and I don't expect anyone to do so, but it's ok to forgive.

As I said, don't spend 25 posts saying the same thing over and over again!

I was thinking it was 04 so as I'm sure you already knew when I spoke of the 03 show I meant the 02 show.

Only you could take an honest post and spend hours trying to poke a hole in it.

I never said 7 snakes produced 500, I said my collection was up to 500 including adults and babies and later said I'd sold my collection.

So, with that said, my reason for not going to shows was that I didn't feel I could control the quality of animals I produced and sold to people. I housed more then one snake my partner bought at a show but as I said that was after my collection was down to a pesonal collection of 7 snakes.

I think it's very common knowledge that I don't produce reptiles anymore in any numbers and I think it's your ability to run with a small mistake a person makes that accounts for you're huge oversites in the truth of a situation.

Now are you going to harp on me for years about saying 2003 when I meant 2002?

Get off it buddy, I gave you FAR more facts then you asked for two reasons.

1) You will spend HOURS trying to find things that make me look like I'm lying.

2) For $500 you couldn't find another animal I bought from a show!

I listed the animals I've bought. I mentioned why I decided to keep the snakes I did from my partner and that's the end of it.

Do you really think I was saying I had 500 snakes this year? Ritchie, have you seen my site? Have you seen any posts of snakes for sale by me? Get really my friend, like always you're blowing a small honest mistake into something it not.

Now as I said, don't waste 2 hours finding link after link after link of old quotes.

Instead remember what I'm telling you:

1) I produce ZERO snakes!

2) I make NO money off reptiles!

3) I'm not looking to get anything from anybody having to do with herps!

4) I haven't bought a snake in at least 6 months.

5) I have no interest or need in advertising on, using or posting at kingsnake.

1. He does not produce snakes. But had over 500 in 01, 02, 03.

2. He has not bought anything in at least six months.

I guess since he has over 500 animals...none of them breed.

8/02 My partner purchased an Albino ball python at the Daytona Show. This snake was born the same month of the show, something not mentioned at the time and only recently brought to my attention.

8/05 The animal was place in my care, was feeding fair and in good physical condition.
Over the next six weeks this snake fed five times with no troubles and seemed very healthy.

10/02 The animal was fed and two days later ended up regurgitating her meal between nine and eleven pm. Less then twelve hours later the animal was dead.

So Adam says he did not have a partner on 9/23/02
But on August 2002 his partner bought from a show.
From 8/2002 until 10/2002 his partner housed his albino ball python at Adam's house. But now Adam says he did not have a partner. So did Adam really have the ball python that supposedly died? Is Adam lying again? What is the true story? Could this be one of those "mistakes" Adam made? Or is he just a PATHOLOGICAL LIAR?

In august of 2002 Adam and his partner obtained animals from a show......because Adam reduced his collection to 7 snakes and do not have to worry about spreading disease.

In September 2002 Adam posted that he does not do shows.
Now he is saying that he did not have a partner when he posted that. SO....In September 2002 Adam did not have a partner.

From august 2002 until October 2002 Adam housed his partners snake at his house (but he really does not have a partner)

AND In October 2002 (according to Adam's quote above) Adam sold his collection and went down to 7 snakes (AGAIN)

The statement I made applied to being a vendor at shows if I'm not mistaken but the fact is I don't buy from them either. Have I in my life? Well, a time or two but that has nothing to do with the fact that I don't do shows. Will I in the future? I'm sure, but I've given my reasons for saying that and also said why my thoughts have changed.

With regard to me having a partner.

There was never any "partnership" per say made. Fact of the matter is the snake (albino ball) was kept by Derrek Roberts for the first 2 months. At the time, I was unsure if I'd wanted to stop working with my collection and Derrek was keeping everything. 9 of 2002 I still didn't have a partner or the albino ball, I didn't even know the snake would end up in my care until I ended up selling my collection.

So you know what, you've found (well I told you) that I lied about weather or not the ball was in my care at the time it was. Truth be told Derrek takes better care his animals then I do mine and the point of the post about NERD had to do with him being dishonest in representing his snakes. I "lied" because I saw no need in bringing yet another person into a thread for you to attack!

Ritchie, have you taken note that you're the only one posting in here? I think you may be the only one who still cares. I know I don't, I think just about everybody on the BOI but you has gotten over this.

Seamus, Neil and a few others, I have respect for no matter how they came/come off in here. Those men had the guts to crawl out from behind the keyboard and pick up the phone. Because they cared about answers and the truth. Ritchie, you hide behind a keyboard because you're scared to be called out. You have never had the guts to make a phone call even when the other end offered you the truth.

That derek thing really makes me wonder because in that ksnake thread there was more 1st time posters in that thread then I have ever seen in a couple of weeks. Also all of them were anti ksnake and a couple were using phrases that I have seen Adam use over and over again to describe Jeff B.

Now that he has admitted to the fact the ball didnt actually belong to him and he slandered/liabeled NERD the way he did I wonder if NERD could sue him??? I doubt Kevin would, not like hed really get anything out of him. But after what Adam put Kev through last year it sure would be nice to see Adam in a postion where he would have to spend the rest of his life hiding and and never be able to place anything in his name. I know in another thread somewhere he said that he incorperated his company or something to that effect to protect himself and family in case he was ever sued but when he posts on this forum he is posting under Adam and not negativeimpactreptiles(buisness name LOL). That is a shame Adam because your buisness does not protect your family in a situation like this.

Personally I dont believe there was an albino ball python from NERD that died. I think this was all made up garbage meant to strong arm Kevin into free animals. However for the sake of this I will assume and respond as though there was one from Kev that died.
Adam cold not produce a receipt for the animal or anything at all to prove it came from Kevin other then Dereks word.Derek couldnt rember what was bought from who he claimed to have bought two albino balls and one het. Kevin rembers selling an albino and a het togther but Adam claims Derek says he only bought an albino from Kev and purchased the pr from someone else. Now with this we have found that Derek holds absolutly no credibilty as he sat back for over a year watched Adam lie about the whole situation and even came here as recent as two weeks ago and backed up Adams lies. So if there was an actual albino ball that came from NERD that one of these two owned and killed considering they couldnt even produce a receipt for the animal my opnion is it was purchased from someone else, probally a hobbyist with only a couple animals. Then when Derek killed the animal the whole thread was nothing more the an elborate set by the both of them. NERD has a very good reputation within this buisness. So if they could make it appear as though the animal came from NERD and it was somehow Kevins fault it died,they could strong arm Kevin into giving them something to replace the animal.

Actually instead of saying "at risk to be trusted" it should say "at risk to be blackmailed" probally just a goof on his part
They were more likely to get a larger amount of return from someone like Kevin then if they went after a hobbyist. Also looking down the road if the replacement was from Kevin(NERD) it would have a higher resale value for the animal itsself and any offsrping it produced. We all know that something coming from Kev or any of the other "big names" has higher sale value then animals coming from a hobbyist. As I said the above is just my opnion based on what has happened and looking at the change of events the above theory makes perfect sense to me. Below is some more quotes that help outline my theory. Some are redundant from my prior post however I felt important along with some of the others I have been pulling from the older threads.

Fact of the matter is the snake (albino ball) was kept by Derrek Roberts for the first 2 months.

Take note to the quotes by Adam above 8(aug.)/02/2002 he claimed it was purchased by partner. Then on 8/05/2002 he received it. Then

10/02 The animal was fed and two days later ended up regurgitating her meal between nine and eleven pm. Less then twelve hours later the animal was dead.

He claims it regurged and died two days later which would be 10/04/2002. He says it was with Derek for the first two months. So what we have here is either it was with Derek up till it died, then they both lied. 8/02/2002-10/04/2002 = 2months and 2 days. Or it was with Derek till the day it regurge(exactly 2 months) then after it regurged these two decided they were going to shuffle it from house to house and cage to cage further stressing it out(which right there would explain cause of death) in which case Adam would have actually told the truth for once(what a concept) or Adam completly lied about the time of death along with everything else because he didnt post the thread about Kevin till Jan of 2003 over 3 months after he claimed the animal died.

Now lastly below are several more qoutes from Adam showing how he claimed the animal was in his care.

As for the snakes drinking. I of course can't say it drank each and every day. I will however say I never saw the snake go more then 5 days without taking a dip in it's water dish.

Humm now this below quote is cute. How was he assured of anything when in fact it was his so called partner that bought the animals in Daytona when he was in AZ?
