i spoke with this person while he was buying crickets at a local pet store. he seemed very nice and i buy mice for my birds once in a while ther but he told me he could get them for less. so i paid him the middle of nov for 100 fuzzy mice. it was $20 cash with him saying it would take just a couple of weeks cause he was ordering and would put them in with his order. he gave me his number and a website address that i can't remember now and neither can my friend so i trusted him. now i call and it is not the right number so he ripped me off! i talked to the guy he was talking to at the store who is my friend and he told me he didn't know his info but started using this site cause adam told him about it so i should try here.

this is all i know about him. his number is 803-466-1539 he is only a little older then me was with a kid when i talked to him and said he was buying crickets for his spiders so i guess he keeps them. he also lives by the airport if any of you know him. i gave him my number too. he said he was helping me out cause i help birds so that's why it was so much cheeper then the store. i thought he lying to me as it seemed too cheap. i guess he was because he took my money and i don't have any mice. but the store sells them for 90 cents each to me so it would have been a big savings and really helped me and my birds. if you can help me find him thank you. jenny mills

i guess its a lesson to be learned, i would just say, rodentpro.com, bigcheese, places online you can get frozen anything for cheap in large quantities, i would always get names"full" and adresses that kind of stuff before these type of transactions, lucky it was only 20 bucks, as thats not bad in the scheme of things, damien friesz

dropping the phone book) and it's dropped it again so I can't call her.

adam if you ever do pay up the ten bucks to Rich and read this I already know your thinking on this. You're helping her help her birds. While I give you a point for wanting to help I can't help but take at least two points away for the way and also the place you did it. I occasionally had some lowlife try to sell an animal in my store to one of my customers. The bum's rush and a heave ho was the next move.

Ethics, it's a word you have bandied about here but, I suspect you have little understanding of.

Do a keyword search on posts made by TheGhost, which was his latest handle. Adam is the first one to try out my new Warning System implementation of assessing a fine for deserving individuals. This is explained in more detail up at the top of the BOI forum in the thread entitled "Warnings". But in a nutshell, anyone who proves to be an excessive problem for this site will be fined and suspended until they pay the fine. I guess you can consider it a "pain in the butt" tax if you want to.

Something tells me I should have made the initial fine $100, though.

That girl just emailed me so thank you for letting her know what was going
on. I'm always up late and she seems to get up every 2-3 hours to feed
little birds or whatever. She didn't have my correct number so she freaked
out and thought she was getting ripped off. In any event, she told me that
already people were bashing me in that thread. I have done a lot in peoples
eyes to warrant comments but can you please let me know what they said?

Your lack of ethics was not evident in your trying to help her out. It was BLATANT in the place where you did it. You basically stole $80.00 from the store you were in if you offered to sell the girl her mice for .20 ea and the store charged 1.00 ea. Do you get it now?

It was not your place of business. It was not your customer. You did nothing to get her to come in. You provided nothing for her at all other than cheap mice. I'd boot you out for good if you did that in my shop.

Damien - when someone is suspended from this site then that means in all respects. Please do not act as the middle man and post emails from Adam. Adam was banned from here before and I decided to give him another chance. Now I have made it even easier as it takes no real decision on my part. He just has to pay the fine. If he decides not to, then that is his own decision.

But anyone else passing through his messages here to circumvent the suspension will have them deleted.

Man!.... There must be a break in the Ozone or something, cause I have to agree with Wes, AGAIN!!

When, "The Snake Pit" was opened for business (before I closed it last February), there would be times when I was talking to someone about buying one of my animals, and then someone else who was in the store, said something like, "I have one of those and I'll give it to you for much less".... I literally went ballistic and kicked them out of the store immediately!.... That is the worst thing you can do in someone ELSE'S place of business!.... Even when I go into Josie's place (Josie's Exotic Reptiles), and I see someone who used to be one of my customers.... I say hello and how are you, but, even if they ask me for one of my new business cards, I would ALWAYS ask Josie FIRST if she would give me permission to give them one.... it's only common courtesy....

If Adam really DID do that.... that is SO WRONG!!.... He's NOT paying the rent, he's NOT paying all the overhead that the store owner is.... I would have booted him out on his butt, too!.... What he does in the parking lot is one thing, but, what he does in the store itself, is totally different.... and should NEVER be done, unless being given specific permission by the store owner to do it!

Wow! That's really amazing, because his initial responses to this concept were substantially different from his current whinning. I quote Adam in chronological order:

This person just HAPPENED to stumble on this site within 24 hours of Adam's fine and suspension, registered at 3:58am, has made exactly ONE post 20 minutes later, and instead of posting in the Bird related BOI or insect related BOI (which apparently is ALL she knew about this person named Adam), just HAPPENED to post here in the reptile related BOI instead about someone she only met briefly at a pet shop.
