In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Does anyone have any copies of the albino leopard gecko ads Tim Rainwater used in his direct mailings and Reptiles magazine? I remember they had red eyes in the pics, but would really like to obtain a copy for my collection. I remember obtaining a nice glossy page ad along with his pricelist in 1998, anyone still have any of these? I threw my copy out in 2001 and wish I didn't. Even scanned ads would do.

i have a 35MM print given to me by tim rainwater that shows a good shot of the eye.. ill try to dig it up tommorow

reptiles back issues

Pet'tacular exotics has many back issues of reptiles magazine for sale...if you can find out which issues carried this ad i can probably obtain one of them for you. another route would be going to petacular exotics website (theres a link on KS) and actually emailing Rich to see if he has any copies of the issues that carried that ad.

I can help out, but all my old REPTILES mags are 1 hour away from here and only god knows where the people renting my mom's house put them. I also have old flyers from Tim when he use to attend the Albuquerque Reptile Expos. I'm not sure when I'll be going back "home" but when I do I do plan to grab all my REPTILES mags.

I do, however, have a macro of the first ever patternless albino's eye. Max was hatched in 1998 and I believe the first PA was hatched in 99.

dang! I just checked and I have Oct 1993 (first issue) through Sept 1996! oh well good luck!!

im missing about 10 issues since the first one hit the shelves...

Just finished some Reptiles Mag research and I think I found the ad you are looking for. It is June 99 I will check my extra issues to see if I have a extra one. But here is a time line for all those interested.
Rainwater first ad: Sept. '98 he then did adds every other month or so.
Rainwater ad: June '99 This ad has six Polaroids a albino patternless, albino, 2 tangerines, high yellow, and a close up of a albino eye with a albino in the forground of the add
March 2000: Prehistoric Pets with the blizard and banana blizzard as well as Tremper albinos are pictured.
May 2000: Prehistoric Pets blazzing blizards

pa eye...

This is the macro shot I was talking about. It was featured in a calendar and I believe an ad that Rainwater did.

I believe the photo was taken by Kevin Hanley. I think he was Tim's photographer at one point before they had their falling out. The photo itself is kind of crappy as I scanned it in back in 2000 and my scanner was a huge POS.

Edit: typo in HTML coding

fishy picture

that photo looks like its been messed with. see how the red bleeds into the bottom eyelid? it shouldn't. has anyone actually seen a gecko with eyes like that?

Yes that is one of the pics from his adds. It is in the Reptiles mag from June '99. It is listed as a albino eye. As far as the pic being tampered with I do not know. But Kevin is one of the best reptile photographers out there. And I do think did shots for Rainwater.
