    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hi all, I've been forever fascinated by the GTP, but was turned off to keeping one after talking to a few LFS, (one instance involved thick gloves and 10 minutes of constant striking) however I recently met a hobbyist with 4 GTPs that were all absolutely wonderful! He has renewed my interest in keeping one. I was doing some research and stumbled apon the ETB. I understand that for both there are different locals and was wondering if anyone might be able to shed some light as to which snake, and locals I should look into. Or a source where info can be found detailing the different locals and their temperaments. I found an old thread on this sub forum, which was helpful, however, I would like to get a few more opinions and further feedback. I would prefer a local on the smaller side, with a good temperament, one that is handleable. I like the blue hues on the snakes, but also really like the greens, I'm not very partial to the yellow. Mahalo for your time and happy holidays!

If you have never had tree snakes i would stay away from emerald tree boas if proper care is not kept they decline very fast. GTP i would start by reading The more complete chondro by Greg Maxwell excellent book and should tell you all you need to know about gtp. i keep the Biak local they tend to be the largest of the gtp and some people thhink more aggressive but i have 4 of them and are all very handable. if you are set on emeralds i would start first with the amazon tree boas they are a little easier to keep breed fairly easy and have a range of colors. good luck
