• In the past two days I have gotten emails asking about being requested to provide credit card info in order to register and also to make a post in the classifieds forums. PLEASE NOTE: In no instance will this site ask you for this sort of information. The only time any request for payment is made is if you choose to opt-in for a higher membership level, and that is done SOLELY through PayPal. Anything else is coming from a source other than this site. My guess is that this is coming through Google Adsense, but when I can get someone to send me a screen shot of this sort of request, I will know more.

    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Advice on feeding/handling

Just curious to see what everyone would recommend or suggest. My new babies just ate their first meal (with me) on Saturday late morning. How long should someone let them digest before handling them ( I use to give them 2-3 days)?

I personally don't handle babies for about 2 months or so after being born. Sure I handle them to clean cages, but I don't handle them to "hang out".

I avoid handling the day before and the day after feeding, but every BP's different. Some of mine don't like being handled much, so I only get them out a couple times a month to keep them hand tame. My favorite girl likes to be handled daily and it's hard for her to wait. I can handle her the day before feeding, but still avoid the day after. Mine are 2 to 3 years old. If they're good eaters, I don't worry about it all that much. The picky ones I tend to leave alone for the day before feeding, and a day after. Good eaters, I haven't seen any problem with handling them shortly after feeding, or right before, etc. By handling, I don't mean that I'm gonna take them to a snake show, or to the park, or store (like I do..lol). But I'll check them out for 5-10 minutes shortly after they ate.
