    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I'm not a boa person, buy i'll take a guess that 3-4 years old is when they are ok. I did keep boas at one time, but i never did look into breeding them.

Yes, they are called Cateaters. As far as the Boas, I'm not sure theres an exact age but for the female, size plays a big role in it. If she doesn't have the size no matter what age, it could be real bad for her. Males are able to breed younger and smaller than the females. I hope that helps.

Just because it CAN be done, doesn't mean it SHOULD be.

Housing snakes together, especially different types of snakes, is just looking for trouble.

Boas are actually all about the age, size is a minimal factor, but if they aren't mature, bad things can happen. 42 months is as young as a female boa should be bred.

Well I stand corrected. I was always told the female needed to be good size to try. Sorry for the miss info.

Boas....

Some Males will breed at 1 year old. Many will start at 2 years old and a few hold out untill they are three.

Females I think Age plays a huge part in this also. Along with size.

I like females 3 years old over 12 pounds. Some say 10 pounds is the mark and they will breed at this size. My smallest breeder is a het anery 3 years old and 17 pounds. The next smallest is about 25 pounds. Largest about 40 pounds.

My males are all over 2 years old that bred this year with my best breeder being a double het ghost (Orange Tail) 2 year old male. He is a machine. lol

I go on age purely, I have a 2.5 yr old hypo female that I will bet will never hit 10 lbs. As long as the snake hasn't been food deprived, at 3.5 yrs it will be ready to go. As for males, the youngest I have heard of breeding was 16 months, I have had one breed at 17 months. My strongest is a male Hog Island that is around 6 yrs, but the 17 month old male held his own very well and actually copulated the first night in with the female.
