If you're such a brave sort to post publicly concerning your criminal behavior, why not just go all the way and post your address and phone number too? I have no problems turning you over to USFW, and it would make my day to think of you squirming around in your seat, trying to explain how you see it as "fun" to ship venomous animals illegally!

I think you should put that quote in your signature for every email or post you make.
I realize that Mr. Ramsdell's last post was nothing but a big ol' chunk of bait, waiting for a bite, so I'll refrain from giving that satisfaction. I'm sure it's enough for him to be a disgrace to the herping community.
I remember watching a documentary not long ago, with a photographer that was taking pictures of the hottest of the hot, agitating them to no end to get a good shot, and he got tagged by one or two of the snakes during the documentary. The level of stupidity he displayed left me dumbfounded. Towards the end, I was rooting for the snakes, just so the gene pool could be cleaned up a little. There are alot of similarities in my reaction to this thread.

you are right Terese, it was bait, and it worked. all i did was write something nice about someone and everyone was all over it like i did something wrong.
i knew that bill from ahp was gettin slammed hard, and i knew from reading the BOI for a while that sometimes people jump the gun on calling people a bad guy before they know everything that happened. bill hasnt even had a chance to defend himself or explain. i wasnt happy when someone said i was supporting a scammer. i was bummed because i only made my post to tell people that i had a good experience with him.
so yes, i admit fully that i did make that post to piss people off. you are right. i was threatened that i can be found through a computer, like i didnt already know that.

I was contacted by Karl and he stated there was a mistake made and invited me to contact him about it. We shall see, but if he was making a joke, it was in poor taste/execution.
Anyway, back to the subject of the thread, AHP. As I stated before, I have notified Bill Albright of this thread here, and hopefully he will find the time to address the issues at hand. I really hope he does, as after talking to him in person several times, I'd hate to think of him as guilty of what has been posted. But unfortunately, the evidence so far is pretty heavily stacked against him/AHP.

as I said, I made no threats against you, but I wanted to be sure you were aware of the possible ramifications of your posts. I may not turn you in, but someone else might.
I have no problem with you having done business with Bill Albright. As I've said, I've met him and up until now, genuinely liked the guy. I think I've even sold him snakes, but I can't remember now. I'm glad your Suphan Cobra is donig well. I'm glad you free handle it regular and that it's "tooth poison" is good enough to kill rodents.
However, the problem was with AHP's shipment of the snake via an overnight carrier. Did he send you a nice hot? Yes, I'm sure he did. Did he do it illegally? Yes. Was there a chondro posted on kingsnake with an obvious prolapse? Yes. Was AHP notified of this by a concerned "hero?" Yes. Was the photo then digitally altered to remove the prolapse and then put right back up on kingsnake? Yes.
All of those questions are the issues with AHP, especially since so far, the answers are all YES. They had nothing to do with you personally until you decided to be a smarta$$ and mouth off about shipping illegally all the time. And then to say how fun it is. And yes, I did point out that you can be tracked through the computer.
And by the way, you made your last post about the same time I did. Please do not contact me privately again. You said there was a mistake, apparently there wasn't at all. You were out to find trouble from the get go. You wanted to piss people off, and guess what? You did. Must be a proud day for you.

Why is it that if one person disagrees with any of you cult followers that all of a sudden they are idiots. You guys jumped all over Karl because he posted a good guy statement. Yes the snake was shipped illegaly. Yes that was wrong. I cant believe that any of you would take the bait that he threw out there, it was very oblivous that he was being sarcastic. I really enjoy this site but the way that some of you guys post I am scared to say anything. If I dont say what you want I will get slammed. I think that is crap. Sometimes I drive over the speed limit. Sometimes I pee on the side of buildings when I have NO other options. But do I endanger people's lives and break the law by shipping hots through carriers that aren't designed to ever deal with them? What would have happened had that box broken open at the hub? We all know those packages usually go through hell. So what if the cobra had gotten out of the box at a Fedex or UPS hub? What then? A ball python, hey, that's forgiveable, it can't do any real harm to someone, plus, a ball python is only against company policy, NOT against the law. A Suphan Cobra? Possibly a dead or hospitalised box handler AND against the law.
And yes, if I see a venomous keeper who doesn't know the difference between venom and poison, to me, they've still got alot of learning to do and probably shouldn't be keeping venomous snakes. To me at least, that is an ELEMENTARY piece of information that every venomous keeper should know because venom and poison are two very different things.
As far as how sarcastic he was, if you've been around the BOI a while, you've probably seen how bulletproof some people feel they are and they idiotic comments they will make. This seemed one of those times. Bait or not, it was a stupid comment to make.
However, the focus should not be on Karl Ramsdell, but instead AHP. If Karl needs his own thread to spout wisdom and witty repartee, then I guess he can go to the General BS forum for that, because that is about all it is, BS.

i do agree with someone else who posted. i have been reading this forum for a while, and i do think its helps lots of people, especially when they want info before they do business. so many times i have not posted because i knew somene would jump down my throat. i think this forum would be very intimidating for someone who just got on here and wanted some help. i knwo others on here agree with me, but they dont want to say it cuz they will get jumped on too.
so for the record, all i wanted in the first place was to give bill a chance because he seemed like the nicest, sincere guy on the phone. i genuinely felt bad he wasnt here to defend himself.

I hope that you think very carefully before you agree to have a hot shipped illegally to you again. The $70 extra bucks it costs in shipping is a small price for the safety of our hobby, not to mention those poor package handlers.

Let's not start quoting scripture (or is that MIS-quoting?) in order to say that we're all in the same imperfect boat, so we shouldn't be hard on a guy that admits he's a criminal. The guy is either a being a jerk by participating in illegal actions, or he's a jerk by messing with everyone just to get a rise out of us (Now, where have I heard THAT before???)!
I'm really tired of the old "You guys are a clique, and you always jump on someone without walking a mile in their shoes . . .yada, yada, yada!" Can't we just realize that ther ARE many people (dare I say most) that DO follow the rules of law and basic care in this business/hobby/passion? Can we not also understand that whenever ANYONE flagrantly violates those rules, it hurts ALL of us??? So, when someone comes on here making stupid statements trying to get a rise out of me (or being completely serious until he realizes how bad he's messed up...you decide), I see that as another example of someone making my life harder! I cannot get UPS to talk seriously with me about shipping snakes openly. Why? In part, because they know that if they allow snakes to be shipped, they'll have some moron trying to ship a cobra illegally because "it's fun" to do it that way!!!!

I understand and agree with what you have said, I guess it because I am one those that feel intimadated posting here. I also agree that the shippign was wrong,(I use delta and ship hots). Now the whole picture changing thing that is just a bunch of BS, these are the things that give honest breeders like you and I a bad name in the business. IE "those reptile people or ALL dishonest" these are the things that really make me sick.
I work hard and try make things right.
I am sorry for making light of the shipping erors and I hope that I will not be shut out for my bad judgement.
