    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I'm looking for feedback from anyone that uses air purifiers in their reptile rooms. Any information on specific brands and how well they worked or did'nt work would be appreciated. Thanks

I have birds also, so I have 3 Vornado brand HEPA filters, the larger ones, that have run 24/7 for the last 5 years or so and I think they are terrific. The replacement filters and prefilters are easily available online, and they do a good job of filtering and are relatively quiet.

I have a Conure , reptiles, live in dusty New Mexico and have a child with asthma :)
We use and run 3 Hunter air Purifiers almost 24/7 -- I've had these units for about 3 years and have been pleased with the results. Check their website , because i know the model numbers have changed since then. I have a 30200 (great room/family room) , 30055 (kitchen), 30010 ( bedrooms)

The 30200 unit has an ionization feature that really seems to work.

Do you think it will help the overall health of the herps? I have been wondering about this myself.

I have been using Hunter brand air cleaners for years. But I think they have changed the design, and I'm not sure if the new ones are going to be as good as the old ones. They are also great for circulating the air within a room to even up the temperatures vertically. Without air circulation, you can find temperatures varying as much as 10 degrees or maybe even more from the ceiling to the floor level. Circulating the air helps to even that out quite a bit.

Animals produce odors. Odors attract bugs. Eliminating odors will also help to control the bugs from getting a foothold.

Would a small fan do the same? I know it will not clean the air but would it be to much air power? Thanks,
-Matt
