In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

please help!!!!

ok here is what happend i purchased an adult pair of amerili's from richard wilson in arizona . he shipped them via airborne express overnight before 10:30 am . they were schedualed to arrive today, so today when they didnt arrive i went ahead and tracked them .they came back as haveing been deleiverd, so i went and checked my yard and no snakes! i went ahead and made the seller aware of the problem, and called airborne back to inform them. they sent the driver back and he informed me that he left them on my stoop. when i asked him how are you going to just leave a package on my stoop in this neighborhood. he proceeded to change his story that he gave the package to a man coming out of my house. now i live alone and had no company yet as of today aparently someone signed for the box it wasnt me! when i went ahead and made the driver aware of this he went ahead and cursed me out and told me "oh well the box is missing call the police". now it apears that i am out $750 and a pair of snakes. ive made the seller aware and although i may be wrong about this he dosent seem overly concerened. i actually had to call airborne and have them send him the claim paperwork.i would like to know what are my options here? can someone help me please

my thoughts exactly

but that still leaves me out of my snakes and out of my money ,and ive spoken to his supervisors over at airborne and they basicly tell me theres nothing that they can do about it. he says someone signed for it so someone signed for it any ideas anyone please

DHL/AIRBORNE

I think there is something they at DHL can do about it, they just don't want to!

They are trying to blow you off. Maybe some legal advice should be sort. Explain the drivers actions and changing story and the drivers negligence in allowing anyone to sign for it without any form of verification.

If you then have it on good legal advice that you have a case against DHL/Airborne then they may suddenly become helpfull.

Good luck and all the best!

What was the name given on the signature?
Have you informed the police that an unidentified man was SEEN leaving your house.

Did you get a description from the airborne employee?
If he did hand it to someone on your property and they signed for it; that is all he is required to do , they do not require identification for delivery.
I would call the police make a report see if there are any fingerprints and get a description of the man and a copy of his signature. Most likely it is someone you know and they knew that these snakes were coming to your house.

I dont mean to sound wrong and I dont know what your situation is but, why were you not home when you knew that 750.00 worth of animals were being delivered?
Thanks for listening
Jewell

so basicly i have to consult a lawyer? i've made hi supervisors aware of the details now i am waiting for they're supervisors to call me i have never ever had to deal with anything like this they'er telling me that because the signature required box was not checked they;re not obligated to even knock on my door its up to the drivers discreation what a crock

ok i understand and i would be ticked however as i understand it airborne/DHL does not ship live reptiles now while there could have been theft of the package from either the driver or another person , i personally seeing dhl doing nothing simply because of the fact they sont ship animals... sounds like you might be out $750 any way you go

Re: please help!!!!

to inform them. they sent the driver back and he informed me that he left them on my stoop. when i asked him how are you going to just leave a package on my stoop in this neighborhood. he proceeded to change his story that he gave the package to a man coming out of my house. now i live alone and had no company yet as of today aparently someone signed for the box it wasnt me! What I would do is contact the police and file a report giving them a description from the a/e driver(you might have to get the police to contact him directly as it would constitute hearsay if you relay the description) whom you said saw a man coming out of your house. Then if you have insurance file a claim on your homeowners insurance because I will tell you that airborne having a signature is not responsible.

i was home, there was no man the driver intially told me when he came back that he left the package on my stoop it wasnt untill after i started saying that how can you leave a box unattended with out even knocking on my door that he changed his story saying that he gave the box to a man coming out of my house and he signed for it the name that signed for the snakes is zarasa . no one knew that i was receiving these snakes and there was nobody at my house today other than myself i live alone and dont ussually have company at my house except for my partner mike moloney and he is at work at that time of the day basicly i believe the driver just left the package on my door step without knocking and went ahead and signed for the package himself somone mustve walked by seen the box and made off with it now im not only out my snakes but the money i paid for them

Driver

they'er telling me that because the signature required box was not checked they;re not obligated to even knock on my door its up to the drivers discreation

That really leaves the door wide open to illegal activity on any scale.

What a mess!

Kinda wondering if this driver has a history of this, just handing a package to anyone?

ok so isnt the seller responible then seeing as he shipped them airborne? i didnt ask for them to be shipped that way ? i mean it isnt my fault how the seller decided to ship

file a police report

It looks like the driver is somhow covering somthing up.
file a police report have then question the driver and search his house if you can.
Try to have the signature checked out to see if it is in fact the drivers.
Then file charges on the driver.
also was the package inshured for the full amount?

Quite Frankly I Think You're Screwed

John, Since Airborne's policy states they don't allow shipment of snakes it's kind of hard to file a claim against them that you're out money for something that wasn't supposed to have been shipped with them in the first place. Do they know the contents of the missing box? What was put on the airbill as far as contents goes? I believe the driver knew there were valuable snakes inside and simply took them knowing there's nothing you can do. I've dealt with a "Richard" of Arizona a few years ago and he seemed to be an honest guy so I believe he shipped the animals. If the shipper abscounded with them then this is something not in his control and he therefore shouldn't be held liable.
I always put "harmless live reptile (tortoise)" as the contents description for this reason. Airborne allows shipment of tortoise and if this was written and value declared on the airbill then maybe Richard could work with you to provide a receipt for a $750 missing tortoise claim. It will probably take months for their insurance to come through if at all but that's the only angle I see for you. Otherwise I don't think you have much recourse. Sorry to hear of your troubling situation.

i have ni idea if the package was even insured the seller is being less than coperative i had to get airborne to send him the claim papers he couldnt even do that he kept asking me for the drivers name and the name of the supervisor that i spoke to and there number and being in the state of mind that i was in i didnt get the supervisors name and as far as the number i was transferred to them via the main number i even tried calling the seller several times leaving messages and it wasnt untill i blocked my number that he answered so im pretty much getting the idea that he really dosent care i mean why should he right he already got his money

unless you asked otherwise i do not think he would be.......only carrier that takes live reptiles is delta and if you didnt know that or ask for it you are equally responsible

i believe that he sent the animals also thats not in question my whole problem with him is how he's handeling this he just dosent seem to care enough i know if it was me i would be putting in the same amount of effort that im putting in now im really sick over this those poor snakes i hope wherever they are they're ok

?

i have ni idea if the package was even insured the seller

John, don't mean to sound hard on you, but you should of known these details before hand.

I can't see the shipper being responsible for something that is out of his hands. The package was delivered, he's off the hook so to speak. Even though it appears to of been stolen, the shipper isn't responisble for it being stolen.

He is probably unwilling to help you with the claim because of the no shipping of reptiles policy.

Your claim may well fall dead due to the policies of DHL

just a thought

Your last name is Peraza, the signature the driver supposedley got says Zarasa. In my opinion they sound alot alike to me. My point being is that maybe someone signed for them trying to sign your name but got it wrong, not knowing how your name was spelled.
Maybe the driver tried to forge your signature and it was mis- printed on the package and he is keeping it Thinking before you questioned him that he could get away with it.
I wish you the best of luck getting this staightend out.

well i guess im screwed

looks like im screwed im waiting for dhl to call me back lets see what they have to say and ill take it from there
