In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

AIRBORNE, DHL, RICHARD WILSON, and MY LOST PACKAGE

Personally...

I don't believe the driver ever even came near your home. I'd report the incident to the police and I'd personally go over to the Airborne office where this driver works out of and talk with his supervisor. I've heard of this exact situation happening before and there was a pattern found concerning missing packages with one particular driver. They ended up setting up the driver to nab him on camera. He was fired and made to pay restitution for the losses involved.
In my earlier post I wasn't aware a signature wasn't required. I also always do this as a precaution so there's at least some semblance of accountability. I think you need to appear in person and lean on the driver's supervisor a little harder. If he doesn't want to cooperate then lean on his boss and so on. Somewhere at a higher level maybe someone may demand an answer. Good luck.

looks like thats what im going to have to do im trying to cool off first because in the state of mind im in i'll go there and end up getting arrested

Prohibited Items
You are prohibited from tendering the following items for shipment, and they will not be accepted:

a. Cash, currency, collectible stamps and coins.

b. Live animals, including birds, reptiles and fish, except via our Live Animal Desk

only through the live animal desk and those are only the exceptions......

prohibited idetems from fed ex
(i dont know how to screen shot)

its amazing how this shipper aparently shipped ilegally, the dhl driver aparently either didnt deliver the shipment and forged a signature or left it out in plain sight for it to get stolen and forged a siganture, or handed it to someone(very unlikely) who was not autherized to accept shipments and yet no one is liable meaning i take the loss wow something to think about just makes you want to go out and buy animals huh? im so sick and depressed over this and to think due to several mistakes on everyones part except my own i have to get screwed only in america

Live Animals
FedEx does not accept live animal shipments as part of its regularly scheduled service. Live animals will be accepted when the shipment is coordinated and approved by the FedEx Live Animal Desk. Acceptable shipments include, but are not limited to, zoo animals (to and from zoo locations only) and horses (from gateway to gateway locations only). Household pets, such as domestic cats and dogs, and live fish are not accepted. For more information, contact the FedEx Live Animal Desk at 800.405.9052.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

this comes directly from their site
the only service that take live animals is delta and you have to get inspected and authorized to become verified.

i think some services will make exceptions but for the most part the only one that knowingly ships live animals is delta

John,

Please start a new thread with maybe DHL/Airborne in the topic line. I will then merger the two. All BOI threads need a name in the topic line.

hello robin
you can become verrified to ship reptiles through fed ex the process is posted here on these very forums thanks for looking all of that up but it really dosent pertain to what is going on here whether the animals were shipped legally or ilegally how is that my fault ? how does that excuse dhl from thier reponsibility to deliver a package the truth of the matter is they had no idea what was in the box and it still managed to get stolen so please if you have nothing helpful to add then please refrain i thank you for your participation and i think we all got the point so enough already sorry if im sounding a bit snippy but place your self in my shoes i just lost $750 and have nothing to show for it someone going out of thier way to keep saying over and over again that fed ex dosent accept live animals when i know for a fact that they do isnt really helping me any so once again thank you and
bye bye

FEd EX DOES accept live animals. I believe that Rich Z ships through them.

And shipping through a carrier that prohibits the shipment of something is not illegal unless there is a LAW about it. It might be against their rules, but you can't go to jail for it.

The animal was shipped, an insurance claim SHOULD be filed since it did not ARRIVE... however this is one of those instances where I think you ARE out of luck.

yeah im starting to think the same way seeing as someone (the driver) signed for the animals they are considerd deliverd even though im not giving up on this one without a fight it looks like its going to be a up hill battle espeacially seeing as the seller dosent seem to really care about my misfortune and dosent look like he's planing on going out of his way 1 bit one things for sure i will never ever purchase a damn thing from him again if for nothing else just for his nonchalant attitude through this whole ordeal i strongly sugest others take my misfortune as a example and avoid useing airborne /dhl

well in any event.
you paid $750 the animal was shipped and as far as its "status" was delivered. now while richard is not liable for anything at this point because it was marked delivered, he should be working his best to help you find some info on whats going on and how to help you... as far as dhl/ariborn they may be at fault if found to have been a forged signature or stolen item. however because of their policy you may not get a single cent back possibly is you file a police report more will be done and they will coinsider a theft a theft instead of a theft of prhibited item to ship

Does DHL know what was in the box? Chances are, once they find out, they will just slam the door in your face and that will be the end of it as far as they are concerned. The fact that something was in that missing box that they specifically do not allow within their system will be all the excuse they need to blow you off.

Good luck!

Oh yeah, one other thing. No, I don't expect the seller is going to do much for you. Can't blame him, though, because there is really nothing he CAN do. He's on the verge of losing his Airborne/DHL account anyway, so I'm sure this is every bit as much of a nightmare for him as it is for you.

Did you request a particular carrier be used for shipping or was it the seller's choice? Did you ask that they be insured?

the animals were shipped how he wanted to ship them which was through airborne before i sent him the money i did a boi check and there were nothing but glowing remarks for him i didnt ask them to be insured but i figured seeing as everyone said he was such a good guy and apeared to be a resposible breeder/seller i asumed that insurance was a gimmie i still dont know whether they were insured or not regardless seeing as the signature was forged as far as dhl is concerned the package was shipped so i believe that i am screwed as far as whetehr dhl knows whether there was snakes in the box i have no clue i have been unablke to get much info from richard wilson(the seller) other than he was waiting to hear from dhl to see what they had to say im just so saddened that im loseing out every wich way on this one

well i just got off the phone with airbornes supervisor and basicly he just told me there is nothing i can do isnt that just amzing ok so now im oficially screwed wonderful if anyone ships airborne im calling for a ban on useing them if this has happend to me it can very well happen to you thanks for everyones help i really apreciate all the sugestions and support im going to sleep on this and see what my next move is
