In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Info Al Brown/ Liar

I wasn't playing a game, I just wanted you to provide an example that we could all follow. I didn't figure you'd post anything though.

Chris

Your right!I'm not gonna post for you to pick apart anything more then me.
I'm not leaving the boa world. You can buy a baby and get the paperwork with it all the way
back to my original stocks parents.Including the proven het i just sold since i kept 2 babies from her.

i understand and respect his point and request. what i dont understand is the pure label of bad guy and timing of the post. worse case, should have been inquiry (or posted in the forum for discussion prior) and giving until the seller said he would provide said request.

granted, i personally dont agree with requesting such specific lineage, but i do respect that it is what the buyer wanted and signature and such. just seemed a little to premature and quick to label

all in all, if the buyer and seller have figured it out, all is good

the asking/requesting of lineage isnt really the issue (in my opinion anyway), its the fact that this thread was labeled a bad guy right off the bat. personally, if i had "issues" with what i thought was lineage shortcomings, i would have gotten some opinions first (perhaps in the discussion forum), and then maybe this big red x, could have, at most, been a question mark or something.

The OP did not start, nor label, this thread as "Bad Guy" (with red X).
He posted it as an "Info" thread.
Granted, however, that it does lend itself to being viewed as a "Bad Guy" thread by having the word "Liar" in the title. ;)

i should have been more specific and worded differently. the word liar in a title (in my eyes) is just the same as having a big red x and bad guy.

I managed to leave out the descriptor...
since Al was called a liar in the title, that is a pretty lame explanation

the word liar in a title (in my eyes) is just the same as having a big red x and bad guy.
agreed

not only the word "liar" in the title, is a big red x and bad guy in my eyes, but the big red mad face emoticon in the column to the left of the title, is another equivalent big red x

You cry that he called you a kook. But yet you are the first to call him names. You called him a liar.

You called him a liar because you say he did not send you linage. I see you have paperwork that shows the mother and father. I say that is linage. How far back do you want linage to go? The first boa to arrive on earth? You say he should have defined the term lineage to you. I say you have defined what the term means to you since it is very important to you.

you keep calling him names and then you keep crying that he called you names.

If you are truly worried about linage, what would you do?
A. You buy from a person who bought from a person who bought from his uncle who bought from his cousin a boa that was found near the breeder's animals you want to work with?
B. You buy from the breeder you want to work with.
C. You buy from a guy with paperwork that he bought from a guy who bought from a guy who bought from a guy who bought from a guy who bought from a guy who bought from a guy who bought from a guy who got it from a rescue who got it from the breeder himself and all the paperwork is in order.

You can have all the paperwork you want. I will still buy whatever snake I want.
Signatures is important to you? They are not that important to me. My animals are what I say they are. My word is my bond.

Yeah I remember some guy who was posing as his DEAD Father. He was producing fake piebald hets left and right and signing the paperwork with his dead father's signature. Yeah his paperwork seemed to be in order. Yeah his paperwork had signatures. He even started to microchip some of the snakes. People were telling me that I was wrong. Some people were defending the guy. As usual I was proven right.

i have honestly never really undertood the whole "paperwork" obssesion. i can see it if you just bought a ready to breed animal and you breed it within the 6 months or so, and doesnt prove out. but i mean, if you buy, for example, a normal ball python het for pied female baby or even yearling, you have to wait 3-4 years to breed and technically prove it out anyway. so having paperwork, does what at that point ?? so three years later (or more) you can go back and ask for money back or trade back value ??

my bad, please disregard my last post. right as i hit the post button, i realized this is more of a forum discussion post. my apologies

For the record though, YES. That is what it means....supposed to anyway.
