    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

ok firsts of all almost tried everything. it been almost 2 month or more. she is an late 08 albino ball python i got her on February at 200 grams she was fine at first ate almost every week until 2 month ago. she is now 250gram n does not eat i did not worry about at first. my husbandry almost perfect, she does not seem to be sick. she mostly eats medium mice, i try small mice no go! live mice no go! prekilled no! rat fuzzy no go! night no go! in a small box no go!, nex is hamster ...........
you know what suck about living in California and owning and breeding ball pythons is that you buy gerbils or African sorf fur rat here because it Illegal!
what da f....? whats up with that.? and what should i go? any suggestion?

We had a 450 gram male albino go off food for 10 months. He lost 50 grams over that time. He is now back on food and is almost 600 grams. With its size I would not wait until you see a 10% weight loss. Also switching things up too much could be causing extra stress.

im gonna try hamster or some thing of it nature n see if that my get them to get rolling i heard afs rat work well. it like desert to them

here's what I would do.

Lower the temp so hot is 85, cool side is whatever. Your in California, so your cool side ain't gonna be to cold. lol It's freakin hot here right now!

Cover her up, take away all stimulus, light, vibrations etc... A closet is perfect for this. Make sure she has clean habitat and leave her. Only checking on her every other day. NO talking, no banging around, no kitties visiting to look at the snake etc...

After 2 weeks in this "burrow" quietly and without any fanfare, offer her whatever food she ate before, perhaps a tiny bit smaller. If she has been eating f/t or p/k, offer it on tongs and then drop and plop. Cover her back up and wait 1 hour. Remove food if not eaten. Do not offer her food for another week. Do this until she starts feeding.

If she has taken live, don't leave the rodent in there for more than 5 minutes. Remove if she didn't eat and try again in another week.

And here's my opinion that others will disagree with. Albino's are a pain in the booty to feed. I have had 3 over the years. 1 male great eater, no problems at all. 1 male eats maybe once a month. 1 female eats maybe twice a month and only f/t small mice drop and plopped. This girl is an 04 and still around 1200 grams.

And a short story. My albino girl came from big name breeder out of top notch stock. She took me forever to get feeding. One day she wanted mice, the next rat pinks. One day grabbed from tongs, the next day drop and plop. She even had a pet rat for 2 weeks. I left the live rat in her enclosure with rat food and she would not eat it. The rat actually ran to hide in her coils when I opened the enclosure. After 2 weeks I removed the rat. This albino diva is now taking 2 or 3 small mice once or twice a month.

Snakes can feel vibrations. If you've recently gotten a new stereo that you like to play loud, dog barking, slamming doors etc... can all stress out a snake.
