Available is a rarely offered albino Southern Painted Turtle, approximately 2½ inches in shell length (see photos). This is a captive-bred 2025 individual that is well past the delicate hatchling stage and doing exceptionally well. Very healthy, alert, and feeding aggressively on a varied diet including Mazuri aquatic turtle pellets, Mazuri small crocodile chow, bloodworms, Omega One pellets, and shrimp pellets. Strong feeding response and steady growth.
As most keepers know, there is a major difference between fragile hatchlings and well-started juveniles—this individual has made it through the more sensitive early development phase and is showing strong growth with emerging coloration, and should continue to develop color as it matures. Albino Southern Painted Turtles are not commonly available, especially at this size and level of establishment.
