In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

albino spider?

That's pretty cool! Albino spiders are one of my favorite albino crosses :D

The only clutch I might get this year will be my first (pastelxnormal) if the female takes.

is being a breeder hard for yall?just wondering im thinking about breeding myself just would like to know what im getting myself into.

is being a breeder hard for yall?just wondering im thinking about breeding myself just would like to know what im getting myself into.

Not very hard, but frustrating as heck!!

Not every female will lay
Not every egg will hatch
Not every baby will eat
Not every baby will live

And the market for small time breeders like me is truly horrible right now. Normal bp's are almost impossible to GIVE away to responsible homes.

But....
They are so darn cute!!
I enjoy helping a junior herper learn about reptiles
I enjoy educating people about the lack of "giant fangs" in most snakes
I enjoy teaching people that snakes are not man hunting/eating monsters
I enjoy seeing a little one work up the bravery to touch a reptile.

well i plan on breeding morphs but i know i still will get normals but im also breeding bloods, burms, retics and some boas would you know the round up start cost for everything except for the animals would be ?

It doesn't matter if it's a $10 normal or a $50,000 morph. Nothing's selling right now. Makes me gag. I've been considering not breeding at all next year because of all the 09's I'm still stuck with (both Cornsnakes and Ball Pythons).

RAP,
You should probably start your own thread (this was a straight-up hijacking, and rather rude)

Good luck with that pairing! Fingers crossed for you--Hope you totally beat the odds and get a few albino spiders. You'll have to post pics of the babies when they hatch.

hey now. i'm not offended by anyone "jacking " my thread, as long as they wish me tons of luck its all good. and with me just starting breeding here is how i'm looking at it,
1. i've always loved animals.
2. how rewarding it will be to make a snake so amazing looking.
3. other than the upfront cost of the morphs involved, the only expenses are... mice/rats? so financially... i don't think it's too hard...
physically... just make sure the snake is healthy and happy
and i decided to get into balls over any other species of snakes because they do not get huge, housing space was a big concern for me.

Looks like you have lots of support from lots of great people! And it also looks like you've done your homework! Haha. Just make sure if you have any questions, there are hundreds of breeders out there that would love to give you their two-cents so don't hesitate to ask! Again, good luck and happy breeding!

i've talked to quite a few breeders and read more articles than i can count. But i'm always accepting peoples thoughts, concerns, and opinions. The best way for me to learn is experience which is what i'm doing, now i hope this is a good one! as a matter of fact, all of the reading i've been doing has allowed me to skip the genetics lectures in my bio class... however snakes can't help you learn calc...

alright, need some help now. my male is not interested in the female. i threw out their sheds before i paired them up. would it be a big help to throw a shedding from a different snake in there to trigger them to get going?

Hi,

If the shed was from another male then yes it might help spur him into action.

I'm honestly not sure if the skin from another female would help or not - it probably would depend on where she was in the breeding cycle.
