    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Alex Conover AKA ACdabeast- flipping rescue snakes

okay its getting old getting spammed in my email over a snake so ill be the bigger person and end this hold debate on which people are to ignorant to realize...

let me clear it up this snake is not a rescue just a snake that got treated for a small respiratory infection and is well and 100% healthy now.... i did not tell you this cause i was just trying to find out info

Also im 17 years old and was not sure of the price or what the price was for a female sub adult pewter.... so me needing info on something i did not know just getting into ball pythons i posted saying i was selling this snake....

the people that sold me the snake were very well aware of what i was doing from the start that i wanted to know what a pewter was worth..

So the only thing i did wrong was falsely advertise a snake.... but when people dont mind there own business and are to full of them selfs and need someone to talk to to make a 6 page post on someone who just got into snakes then go for it why can you keep to your self and let your buddys no not the hole forum on something we sent about 4 emails about....

AND RIGHT WHEN I FOUND WHAT THE PRICE WAS WORTHH!!! from a friend john i deleted my post.. i did not see that was posted on here he gave you the story but not the hole thing i BS'ed him the hole time to find a price on a snake?

you can look at my account and see im new get over your selfs reall and dont quote me or reply to my post it gets old when im waiting for emails and its people crying about something that has nothing to do with them.....

God is the only one that has the right to judge anyways dont start with me about flipping snakes when if you were offered a 300 pewter and could sell it for 1.5k scum balls it dose not matter if it was a rescue or not you all sell your snakes on hear when most people no very little about what there doing atleast i try to learn how to price stuff right...

Thanks for reading and wasting yours and my time over a snake thats in my position not yours call animal protection on me cause im such a bad guy =O lmfao

You're not helping your case here. :rolleyes:

i dont know if your a bad guy so much as stupid, and im not sure which reputation is harder to get rid of, bad or stupid.

if all you wanted to do was find out its worth why not ask your buddy john in the first place? or maybe try to google it?

im 17 years old

So that gives you license to be unethical? I've been in the reptile hobby since I was way younger than you, and I never lied to make a sale. Who cares what your age is?

The word you are looking for is "possession."

I'm not sure why somebody would pay 300 (assuming dollars) for a pewter, then sell it for 1500 scum balls...but, I don't claim to understand the thought processes of a 17 yr old. :shrug01:

Last I checked; due to the economic climate; the value of scum balls had decreased drastically. 1500 scum balls won't buy jack.

As for daBeast ... sad.

God is the only one that has the right to judge anyways

It dose not matter if it was a rescue or not

Actually, if you HAD sold this snake under the premise you set up, a COURT OF LAW could rightly judge you, not "only God"

What you've attempted to do would legally constitute FRAUD or FALSE ADVERTISING.

At 17, you CAN be legally prosecuted as an adult, for fraud. Be glad the sale did NOT go through. In a court of law, you would lose this case.

"In a broad strokes definition, fraud is a deliberate misrepresentation which causes another person to suffer damages, usually monetary losses. A salesman may lie about his name, eye color, place of birth and family, but as long as he remains truthful about the product he sells, he will not be found guilty of fraud. There must be a deliberate misrepresentation of the product's condition and actual monetary damages must occur."
http://www.wisegeek.com/what-is-fraud.htm

Common law fraud has nine elements:
-a representation of an existing fact;
-its materiality;
-its falsity;
-the speaker's knowledge of its falsity;
-the speaker's intent that it shall be acted upon by the plaintiff;
-plaintiff's ignorance of its falsity;
-plaintiff's reliance on the truth of the representation;
-plaintiff's right to rely upon it; and
-consequent damages suffered by plaintiff.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fraud

Your situation meets EVERY ELEMENT of fraud under the law. You represented a fact, knowing it was false, not disclosing it to the potential buyer and counting on the buyer to rely on the false information you provided.

You were advertising a snake as a "healthy snake, good eater, gaining weight, it had been in your possession for some time, you knew exactly who the breeder was, and had accurate information on the animal since birth, including growth and weight data".

This is a DELIBERATE MISREPRESENTATION of the product, which is actually "a snake that has had a RI, no proof of vet treatment to prove the RI is cleared up, adopted, and then re-sold before you had watched the animal and could gague for yourself it was healthy."

Had the potential buyer bought this animal, with the intent to breed it, and later found out it was unhealthy, brought a RI that was *not* cured into their collection, or even just found out it was a rescue, they would have suffered a fiscal loss. They would have bought an animal to use as a breeder that would not, in fact, suit their purposes. (Remember, some breeders choose to never breed rescues -- and while that's a personal choice that not all breeders follow, if he HAD bought the animal, promised it was not a rescue, and later found out it was, it would then be useless to him as a breeder.)

Heh... so, we know of one misspelling that is a slam dunk for "It ain't my fault and everyone needs to keep their nose out of my business" syndrome, eh?

Eating: being so small she needs to be assist fed a couple more times her having a slight wobble dose not effect her eating shell grow out of it

Im open to all trades! will trade all for 1 morph age dose not matter!

weighs around 550+ grams i have no papers but genetics are a positive if he dose not prove out i will buy him back and extra money for the female you bred him with!

Alex, you come off REALLY bad here.

Too me, it looks like a punk kid trying to sell a garbage animal knowing full well the animal is probably not flawless, and also knowing full well, that because you are a minor, the buyer of said garbage animal would have little to no recourse in getting their money back. Dude, go back to school...we do not need you around here.

Steve, I just personally don't believe rescues should be bred. That is a personal opinion of mine, and I do not condemn those who do. I think that rescue cases have been through enough stress and should from that point on be pet only. Again, that is my personal opinion.

The true issue here is Alex Conover buying a rescue animal and within hours posting it for sale..

I appreciate your post however You should have focused on the problem instead of throwing in the opinion. The guy seems to be a liar which is a problem. If they guy wants to breed the snake when it is healthy what does it matter?

Hmm.. remembering how i thought when i was 17 and the way i think now IF he was really curious about the price of the snake he has he could have asked around or even just look through the other ads that people are posting. I do that now to see what people are selling and how much. Simply for comparison. That is how you can find out what the "market value" is without having a bad guy thread on you and without gettin in trouble. I really don't know how hard that would have been in the start.

But people 8 years ago think differently then people who are 17 now it seems.
