• Responding to email notices you receive.
    **************************************************
In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

All About Autumn

Thank you for all the nice comments!

She's hanging in there, I try not to mess with her too much since she's been on the thin side and I want her to conserve energy. She has a big cardboard tube which she's been hanging around on and sometimes sleeping in. She took 2 (f/t) jumbos tonight, I'm very happy about that.
:)

Below is a photo of her from today, looking all thin, dark and old but still beautiful and a total sweetheart. Feeding day coming up, hopefully she'll eat again!

For anyone that remembers my collection, I also included a photo of Zahara the high pink normal. She's 18 this year and going strong.

Thanks again for the nice comments.

Wow, it's going to hurt to lose her, but you can take comfort in knowing she had a long life because you cared for her so well. Boas are my favorite snakes too.

Further resistance to feed and a decline in mental function has brought me to the sad decision to end her (possible) suffering. I know she would have hung in there longer but it felt selfish on my part. Yesterday I took Autumn to the vet for euthanasia.

Rest in Peace Autumn. You are and will be missed. My beautiful boa.

Always hard to make that call. It looked like she lived a long, comfortable life.
RIP Autumn.

I am so very sorry. She had a long life and you should be proud that she thrived as long as she did under your care.

Thank you for the kind words. She was the sweetest girl and so gentle. I'm glad I got the time I did with her.

Been away and just came back to see Autumn's thread back at the top of the list - opened it with dread, and am so sorry to hear that you finally had to make the hardest decision. Very glad you posted though, it's still good to see what good care and love can do. She made it to 26 or 27, right? Amazing.
