In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

All time favorite movies.

"As good as it gets" I love that movie, along with "Somethings gotta give" with Diane Keaton, all his movies are good.
Vince Vaugn is also proving to be a funny actor.

:>off_to<: good to see you Dan.

"Something's Gotta Give" is the one with Diane Keaton; another good one. Shoot, I don't think Jack's done a bad movie.

Denise, I agree :yesnod: , although he was good I didn't think the pairing of him and Adam Sandler was the greatest, but still a good watch :)

Darkstar and Attack of the Killer Tomatoes.
And for those who like hallucinogens, Heavy Meatal. Great soundtrack too.

who can forget, The Shining with the "here's Johnny" line

Another great Kubrik film.

Oh yeah, Heavy Metal is a great flick. I haven't seen it in several years. Pink Floyd - The Wall is another one I always liked back in the day. :smokin:

"Mr and Mrs. Smith"
"Raging bull"
"wedding crashers"
"Full metal jacket" (another of those disturbing movies)

So many to choose from...
The Quiet Man
Rocky Horror Picture Show
Scent of a Woman
Meet the Parents and the sequel Meet the Fockers
Wizard of Oz
Mommie Dearest("No more WIRE HANGERS!!!")
Just a couple off the top of my head

You know Dan your right Gladiator is a good movie, another I like of the recent vintage is LOR series, prefer Two Towers and Return of the Kings, yet all three are great.

It's a shame that Tolkien was not able to be more prolific. I don't think anyone has quite covered his work in the Fantasy realm since his death. Yet that may be another thread.

Babel won at the golden globes last night, I haven't even seen it! Heck I haven't seen most of the movies.
Oh yeah thats right, I normally wait until they get out of the theater lol.

Harold and Maude is a cult classic in my family
We were Soldiers
Notional Lampoons Christmas Vacation...no holiday is the same with seeing that at least twice.
A Christmas Story
Mr. Blandings builds his dream home
Man's Favorite sport
Rock Star
Almost Famous
Training Day
When a man loves a woman
Clean and Sober

A few more that I like:
mermaids
mask
now and then
Snow dogs
first wives club
nine months
raising Helen
The notebook (I can not watch that movie without falling apart)
The family Stone

An old one I think I forgot to list Princess Bride and a new one I just saw today and HIGHLY recommend Pan's Labyrinth. If you get the chance do not miss the opportunity to see it on the big screen.

I like Wolf, Under World, Saw 3, Blood Feast 1 and 2, Evil Dead 1 and 2, Micheal Myers, All the Chuckys and Leprachauns, Ted Bundy, 28 Days Later, City of Rott, Day of the Dead, Dawn of the Dead the remake (very realistic especially in the beginning), Devils Rejects, all the Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Serpent of The Rainbow,

and Shawn of the Dead, The Worst Horror Movie Ever (actual name of the movie), all the Free Willys, Bambi, Fox and the Hound, Brother Bear. Forgive all the commas, I meant to do that to be lazy.
