    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Whole collections have been lost to IBD, some of the snakes never were togethter. It might not be an airborne virus, but it is safe to say it is more than a virus that is exchanged by fluids only.

What is your point? That is also a fluid transfer. What does that have to do with IBD? Maybe you should talk to Laura Fopiano and ask someone first-hand that lost a whole collection to IBD.

I really don't see what you are trying to debate. IBD transfer can be done from snake to snake from your clothing etc, AIDS can't !!!!!!!!

Also you may missed the part about the mites, Mites have been found in MOST cases of ibd spreading thru collections.
 
and for your info aids and ibd are both classified as a retrovirus...which means that they are similar enough to be classified TOGETHER. Which they act SIMILAR not exactly the same, i never said EXACTLY...ok so put your horse away please.
 
Oh and one more thing...you may not know much about biology but when you even breath you are exhaling a gas which contains microscopic fluids, being a snake who flicks their tounge to collect these airborne particles they are much more sucsepatble to catching it in close proximity and touching is pretty damn close.

Ok guilty, i am drinkin and forgot, but on the honest tip, i didnt mean exactly in symptoms but more of the ways in general. you are right about what i said, i will shut up. But go find some of the very recent findings, IDB is being compared to AIDS, so maybe you are right its not AIDS its IBD but aids is the closes thing as far as the disease structure and personality. So im not guilty of relating it to AIDS im just guilty of knowing just as much about IBD as you and everyone else. I apologize, happy now. wow you didnt go this hard on allen and i am trying to do something positive and share some info thats more than you can say since you have done so much reasearch and shared umm zero maybe?? See bill, science only moves forward when people research and share results and ideas. Sorry bill for being a dumbass.

Ron you really need to start a new thread about this.. We can't we were not involved.

No sense in debating something that is understood so little. What we need is for this to be its own thread with IBD in the title so people will see it and hopefully it can prevent a few people from infecting their collections. Randy

Sorry raven i cant man, not untill somemore evidence comes up i will not. I dont want to be wrong, thats all. Im not the boy who cried wolf.

And as for other people...They should be taking quarintine precautions, Point blank. If you cant do that then its your fault. I would feel just as at fault as the guy who sold it to me if i would have had any other animals to get the disease at the time. Maybe i should do a thread on quar.
 
Ron correct me if I'm wrong you bought a snake from Allen, the snake got sick and died, you had a necropsy done and they discovered IBD. Now that's correct isn't it? So what are we waiting for? You don't have to come out and say he for sure has IBD in his collection, you just have to say you bought a snake from him that soon after died of IBD. Warn other people that's all you need to do..Randy

I have watched this thread from the beginning. I know Allen Beltcher very well. I must first state that I hope his stock does not have IBD for the animals wellbeing. And I now Allen doesn't want IBD in his facility for his moneys wellbeing. Its always about money with Allen. I felt I had to speak up and explain to the reptile world, truth is Allen probably didn't know what IBD was when here first herd it from Ron. I'm sure he had to ask his only two employees as to what Ron was referring to. If you can call them employees while paying them under the table. They are the only good in the operation. I hope this all blows over, and it will but how long before another post of BIG DADDY'S WHOLESALE gone bad!

The very truth is that Allen Beltcher is in this for the money ONLY.
In fact he is scared of most Reptiles. Those breeders who have thrived and done well with out negative post and threads were most likely started in reptiles as a hobby NOT for money. Big Daddy AKA Allen Beltcher is the opposite of most breeders. On another note most all who came to the rescue and supported Allen through this were his Friends or suppliers. Ex. Tegus for you & Dixie Reptiles.
All in all the Reptile world will not have to deal with Allen forever. If history repeats its self and is usually does he will hit a financial slump and abort the reptile industry for good. Like his

As for the IBD I would not be totally surprised if it came from his facility if you could call a couple of 52ft cargo trailers in your back yard a facility.
But thin again who knows. I love this guy XOXOX
