So Duke you couldn't explain any of the questions asked as to why you did not inform either myself or the promoter of the show the so called poor animals or about the snake that suppossedly died, so you showed that your age is greater than your I.Q. by resulting in insults and profannity.
Let's keep the posts here on topic. The last page or two has gotten off the subject. I really would like to continue to discuss the alligations of the snakes care, cleanliness, IBD and overall health of the animals.
We keep getting sidetracked on how I ship, on my guarantee, on my return policy, on my name, on my weight, and now even on my johnson. So here's a quick summary of these topics so we can stay on point.
I ship through several different companies, and have accounts with some of them. I offer a live arrival guarantee with a return policy of 24 hours. which is plenty of time to decide if you want an animal or not. This is in place primarilly for the pet stores that order in quantity fom us where alot of the animals are frogs and chameleons. And as you may or may not know, not all pet stores have qualified people who know how to set-up, house and care for all the reptiles they have on display. My name is Allen Belcher aka Big Daddy. I don't believe asking you about your shipping methods is sidetracking how you conduct bussines. Most, if not everyone is concerned how their animals will be shipped. Is that not part of being in the reptile business?

For example he burns down his bird house to get back money from insurance. I also heard that his failed pet store in Columbus GA went down hill in under 2 years because of animal cruelty. He also allegedly stole his own snakes to again claim them stolen and get another insurance check. Way to go Mr. Belcher. You are a good man. I have seen your kids at the shows and I hate that they have such a horrible father for a role model. Get to know God. If you died right now you would surely be hell bound. I dont hate and i am not mad at you. I feel sorry for you.

I have not seen the animals that he sells at shows nor do I need to, enough people have come forward over the last year to add credence to his questionable animal husbandry skills. Okay Duke, I am no fan of Alan's, but leave his children out of this. His ability to be a parent really has no bearing on his business practices.

O.K. So we have changed gears again! First Laura thanks for the remarks about my kids. I appreciate the respect given concerning that! I would like to see the facts to the statements made from Duke as well. Maybe he could enlighten all of us here on where his information came from in his response as well. See the he said, she said has went on long enough. The buck, the penny and the b.s. has been handed over and passed around to much. So maybe, just maybe Duke is the man who can stand up and give names of people who he heard whatever from. Time will only tell!
I did have a building burn containing birds and lost in excess of 30k in animals alone not including the cost of the building. My insurance company paid me just over 1100.00 total payment for the loss. I also had another building burn containing my wholesale reptiles this past year and did not even turn it in on insurance because I was afraid of being cancelled. In this case I lost about 11k in animals. About three years ago I had my collection of ball pythons and high-end boas stolen from my pet store. He/She/They came in through a block wall and stole the snakes and trashed the store while in the building. I thought an ex-employee had something to do with it and his finger prints were found in the building around the hole in the wall and on the air box that was taken out of the wall, but since he worked there his fingerprints were suppossed to be in the building was what the police said. The insurance did cover the cost of replacing what was broken and fixing the wall but when it came to the live animals that were taken I GOT SCREWED GOOD!
On a side note: If anyone reading this knows of a company that will write insurance on animals I would love to know who to contact! I have yet to find a company that will insure a live animal.
Animal cruelty charges for closing the store, surely a record can be found somewhere for this statement! Truth is the store tied me down and made it where I could travel like I wanted too. Also dealing with alot of employees and some idiots in the public on a daily basis was wearing to thin. The business never received a verbal or written cruelty charge from the day it was open through the day it closed.
Duke as for not being angry or disliking me, you talked about my johnson for heavens sake.
Oh and before anyone brings it up about two years ago I had both of the foots stolen off of my 28 foot mako yamaha 250 engines down in florida. But not to worry I don't even have insurance on it.
Also we just finished constuction on another new building for our reptiles. And just for kicks the last three buildings we have constructed for our reptiles have all been completely metal.
So Duke I will pose the same statement to you as I have to others. If you find a single animal on my table that is not in good shape or condiction, tell the promoter. Whether it is Terry, Shaun, Alex, Marty or any of the other promoters that we attend there show.

I bought a Cali King snake from you at the valley forge show outside of Philadelphia last year. I have to say you were extremely pleasant to speak with, and you offered me a good deal on the the price.
I've only read a page or two of this thread but I'm very sorry for what your going through. Weather or not its true is not for me to decide, but I hope that if its not it will soon be in the past.
Needless to say the snake is doing very well and has never given me a single problem.

After seeing the way Alan Belcher screwed over a good friend of mine this past weekend at Daytona, I wouldn't take his snakes if they were free...ESPECIALLY his so called "100% hets" that produce normals...

Well I was told Scott was going to retract his statement but he has done it in such a way that it leaves alot in question. So I will explain the story but without using names as to protect all parties involved. I was called by person 1 and asked to pick up a het animal from person 2 I purchased other het animals from person2 as well. I delivered the het animal to person person 1 that he wanted and kept the others that I bought for my personal use. None of the hets proved out on my end or for person 1. I took the het animals from myself and person 1 and dealt with person 2 at Daytona reguarding the problem at hand. Person 2 satisfied me as well as person 1 involved in this transaction.
Now don't ask for names because I gave my word to person 2 that because he did the right thing and made the animals right I would not discuss it. Sad that someone else has to instigate and make accusations without the facts or the whole story.
Bottomline here I went to bat for myself and someone else on their behalf!

In my opinion their needs to be some kind of filter here for misinformation!

Agreed , this isn't the first time someone has popped up with an accusation against Allen without giving more info. If someone is going to come here and post an accusation be prepared to back it up.

Your friend should've made this post with details. Considering your own post that you quoted either there is more to this than what has been said by either party or you posted without having complete facts.

Rules are here to protect both sides. Being just as vague as Powderfinger isn't helping. No reason to call foul if your just as guilty.

It doesn't matter who the accusation is directed towards , if your not prepared to put up then shut up. This is the 2nd time that I know of an accusation has been made without proof or details. Step up your game folks or don't play. Hiding behind a " promise " doesn't hold water here either.

I think Allen should be forced to live in one of his snakes cages.. with moldy decaying rats, human feces/urine, maggots, etc. Feed him once a month and give him water with steroids in it just to keep him alive.
