• Responding to email notices you receive.
    **************************************************
In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Amanda Thomas--has my gecko and money, no response

I would go ahead and file on the last day if I did not know the seller. I probably wouldn't buy a critter I had to wait two months to get from someone I did not know, though.

this,or id contact the seller and tell them i am filing a claim and when i get my product ill remove the claim

any legit seller won't have a issue with this.

Amanda, Seri, and I were all regulars on the Pangea forum, and we felt like we did know Amanda.

Someone who would blame the victims is someone whose personal ethics I would question to the point where I would not trade with them.

The reptile community is a small one, and we have an obligation to let others know about things like this.

that's fine and matter of opinion, but if you think you know some one very well by having convos with them over forums you have another thing coming to you

THis is someone many of us knew and chatted with almost daily for years. Not just a handful of posts. She had a good reputation with many positive feedbacks and many knew in person.

Besides, PayPal doesn't cover live animals. The 45 day limit is a moot point.

they sure don't cover live animals but they will cover you if no item was shipped so you still had a option to put a hold on the money, what would she do?nothing unless she shipped with tracking proof

PayPal actually will not cover animals even if nothing was shipped. I just had this problem with them. They will immediately close your claim.

even if they don't cover items and the items are marked for goods they must have some sort of shipping info, once it gets there that's fine but when it comes to health issues/death etc paypal don't care,so not sure what paypal is bsing you with

No they don't. You can call and talk to them. Its not just me that this has happened to. I was involved in a large scam and PayPal will not help anyone that has bought live animals regardless of shipping. I even tried to get my shipping money back and since its considered an intangible good they wont even cover that.

if you guys are going to continue, please take it to PMs or to the shipping or business discussion forums. thank you

Still considered goods and every goods you pay for must have a tracking number.
