    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Amazing pictures: Python taking five hours to swallow lizard three times its size

These pictures show a snake that looked like it had bitten off much more than it could chew when it tackled a giant lizard.

But the determined black headed python in Australian outback made a go of it and managed to get the whole thing down in one go.

Bizarre: The python took a total of five hours to get the lizard down
Engineer Trevor McGowan, who took the shots, said he and his workmates watched on stunned as the snake consumed the goanna lizard over about five hours near Cloudbreak Mine in the Pilbara region last week.

The Irishman said he took the pictures early in the day and when he returned later he saw the goanna's 'bulge outline' inside the snake.

'I sent the pictures to a couple of mates back home and it just exploded - the e-mail went around the world and came back to me,' he said.

Time for a nap: The black headed python heads off after finishing its colossal meal
And it really was a case of turning the tables on nature: goannas are carnivorous reptiles that prey on snakes.

Adult black headed pythons can grow to 8.5ft in length. Their bodies are muscular with a flattened profile, while the tail tapers to a thin point.

The diet consists of mainly reptiles but will eat mammals if available. Because they live in the desert they heat up a lot quicker and they stay warmer for longer, meaning they can eat more because they digest food quicker in warmer conditions.

Clearly, the python got the better of that battle. One thing is for certain, the reptile would not have needed another meal in a while.
