    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Up for sale is my Amazon tree boa. I’m asking $100. I acquired him as a (presumed) yearling from Pet Kingdom in San Diego, CA at the NARBC conference in Anaheim, CA on 9/07/08. He weighed 102g on 11/26/08; today he weighs 229 g. I don’t know if he is captive-bred or wild-caught. He’s a male, 4 and a half feet long, with a multi-colored pattern. He is mostly orange, olive, and blackish-grey with little specks of red. The pictures below are pretty accurate. I’m not a breeder and I have never tried to breed him. He is eating frozen-thawed mice from tongs and has a good appetite except when he’s about to shed. He has no defects that I can find, no mite infestation, and is healthy. As long as the cage humidity is kept high, he has no shedding problems (he shed the day before I took these pictures). Although he is easy to handle, he is also still quite the hand and face biter as is typical of ATB’s (although his teeth are tiny, so the bites don’t really hurt). I’m letting him go because I’ve come to realize that biting, display-only reptiles are not my interest and I’m only going to keep and acquire docile, tame animals for my small collection from now on. I’m going to make this a local pick-up only (I’m in Simi Valley, CA) because UPS no longer ships snakes, the nearest Delta Dash station is an hour away, and I’ve never shipped an animal before anyway, so I’m a bit leery to do so. You may contact me via email at [email protected].

I wish you were in NorCal!! He's lovely and I would totally get him if you were local to me.

Hi Tom,
Might have a solution! My friend in your area may be able to pick up for me, but we're trying to work it out and see if it can happen. I'll send you an email later today once I know more.
thanks!
