    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I bought him as an Ambanja, but everyone tells me he is an Ambilobe. What do you guys think?? I deffinately see more Ambilobe in him than Ambanja. He is only 10 months old, and his colors get better everyday. He almost has a banana color to him, and he is always brightly colored, he only gets brighter when he is fired up.

Doesn't look anything like an ambanja, at least not like any I saw in Ambanja. It has similarities to Ambilobe but I can't rule out it being a hybrid.

Looks more like an Ambilobe than Ambanja. I too wouldn't rule out a hybrid. Whatever he is...He is spectacular looking! If you bought him at an Ambanja price you sure got a good deal.

i actually bought him for 125 shipped. he was only 3 months when i got him, and now he is getting huge.

Greg,
You caught me on that rare one-night-per-year when I look at this forum ... just busy I guess. My experience with Ambilobes is quite in-depth. I don't think that there is a drop of Ambanja blood in this animal. I can't rule out mixed blood, but I think it unlikely. While much of what you see on the internet are the very striking-looking blue bar or red bar Ambilobes, there are still a percent of them (about 10%) that come in with the green bars as you have here. I know that Bill Love has photographed them in the wild like this, and I have had about a half-dozen of this ilk, both CBB and wild caught. I have seen green-bar offspring show up with sibling brothers that had redder bars as well. Again, you don't hear much about Ambilobe green-bars, but they are naturally occuring. He looks very healthy ....... well done, and a steal at $125 ......
