In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I was wondering if you guys could post some pics of your American leatherbacks (especially smaller babies). I have some 2 week old babies that look to have atleast reduced scales if they aren't leatherbacks.

Thanks,
Dillon

Actually why dont you post some pictures! I only have 1 partial smoothie, thats older with no color.

What was the cross? What male to what female genetic wise.

I'll post some pics later tonight. They look very similar to your reduced scale hypo trans from josh as far as their scales.

The sire is an Orange citrus trans from Dan at outback and the dam is out of one of my crosses from a red male (from a private breeder) and a snow female from Dragons Den.

You should ask dan if the male you have was possibly a leather sibling (ie non leather dragon hatched from a clutch that produced leathers).

Hmm, never thought of that possibility before. That could explain it.

Here are the pics:
1st and 2nd pic- random clutchmates, although the one in the 1st pic looks like there's a possibility of him/her being smooth.

3rd and 4th pic- here's the one that really has me confused, it doesn't look like he has the scales of a typical dragon, yet doesn't look as smooth as the baby leatherbacks that I've seen.

Partial Smoothie.

This is a smoothie partial smoothie from Anna. She is about 5 yrs old 6 maybe. She is a co-dom and she can reproduce smooth animals and partial smooth animals like her. An of course normals also.

Sorry for the long reply i had a female in the lay bin. I just posted pics in another thread.

Good looking girl. So since she is co-dom she is an Italian leather right? Or are there American co-dom leathers now as well? Do you have any baby pics of her or when she was younger? Or any baby pics of your reduced scale hypo trans?

As far as the baby pics that I posted, does it look like there's a possibility of them being leathbacks?

Thanks,
Dillon

from what I have seen of baby smoothies/leathers I do not think that you have leathers at all. You may have a lower expression line but they are far from leather babies, as you can see the raised spikes/scales in the photos.

Thanks, No she is American line. the American line is also a co-dom gene.
I bought her as a 2-3 yr old adult so there are no baby pictures. And i really dont have many or any pics of the hypo trans with "reduced scales" as a baby. I dont take to many pics at all times. i still have breeders that never been posted at my web sight or profile page.

The babies look rougher than most to any leatherback i have ever seen. The only way you know there a american co-dom leatherback is to breed them.

True but my co -dom partial smoothie looks like a low expression dragon BUT she will throw smooth smoothies and partial smoothies too!

Sorry for posting on your post but similar question. Since there are co-dom american smoothies, what do you get if you cross them with an italian leather.

you should produce normals and a mix of italians and americans but maybe with a twist in pattern and smoothness. And possibly silkbacks.

But no interest in it. there lines are better apart than together

I didnt intend to cross them but my girlfriend accidentaly housed them together fir a few minutes while she was cleaning them and I was away. I came home that day to catch him just finishing the dead as I walking in.

The female I'm not a hundred percent sure that she's a smoothie. When I purchased her as a leather back but they could not confirm if she was Italian or not. By her scales and such she appears to not be Italian. I have been waiting to prove her out and I finally bread her this year to my Orange normal yrans ans thw babies hatched a few days ago. Some are smooth and others are normal.
