In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Since 2010, the Food and Drug Administration has been debating how to regulate the sale of e-cigarettes. The FDA should hurry up. These battery-powered devices, which heat a nicotine solution and create an inhalable vapor, are exploding in popularity – driven mostly by a tobacco industry in search of new addicts.
Addiction itself does lie at the heart of the FDA’s dilemma about regulating e-cigarettes. Should the agency assume that millions of Americans choose to be nicotine addicts, with the federal role simply to make the use of electronic cigarettes as safe as possible? Or should the FDA see this powerful addiction as inherently wrong, both for individuals and society, with the government helping people avoid or overcome it?

Licensing for companies that make eliquid. Yes, Anyone can create there own flavors and sell. I support that 100%. They could be doing it in bathroom for all any one knows. The ones that are doing it correctly now will have no problems. 80% of the sellers out there now are hacks.

There will be a tax on devices and nicotine I'm sure.

As usual politicians are full of crap. Worried about children and safety and health have not one thing to do with it. Money... 3 million a year are quitting the Gov cashcow of cigarettes and converting to ecigs.

And as a back up plan, I have enough nicotine at todays prices to last me at my current usage for about 12 years. I downgrade my usage every 60 days which will make it go further. And of course people will believe those Gov written articles like the sheep they are. Nicotine is less dangerous than caffeine. Vape on Brutha's!

Ive actually read multiple studies showing how the atomizer filaments in those things release toxins when they are heated enough to "steam vaporize" the nicotine solution. They are almost exclusively made in china and they are finding the filaments and vapor champers to be made of cheap metal with brass and other poisonous metals mixed in. The Chinese have horrible metallurgy practices and there is no telling what kind of toxic compounds they are making these things from.

Yes some china made stuff does. Brass is a no no. Most of that stuff is geared towards power vaping or cloud chasing which I dont do. Just like the eliquid I'd like to see stuff approved. Most of it is completely safe right now. I have no problem with them getting rid of the junk.

Kinda strange coincidence china makes some of the best metal(s) on the planet.Other countries including the US are far behind China in metallurgy.
Do they use and ship the cheap crap to the US for purposeful failure?

Actually the Chinese have some world class facilities in all fields of production. The consumers world wide determine who they buy from though. My father in law installed paint systems in 3 factories over there in the 90's. He said you could eat from the floors. Obviously just like here they have there not so great places also. They have there Neiman Marcus vs Walmart places also.

Wouldn't surprise me in the least to discover that quality products ARE available from China, but American wholesale buyers are buying their products for resale strictly based on price to increase their profit margins.

I'll tell you, it aggravates me no end to buy something based on a recognized American or European based company name only to find it stamped with "Made in China". The obvious result of this is that consumers will also start buying strictly by price, since they will be getting pretty much the same thing regardless of whose commercial mark is selling it. Why should I buy a Craftsman wrench with a surcharge for the name when the no name ones sold at Harbor Freight are likely all made at the same place?

It's only a matter of time before China starts OVERTLY selling direct to American consumers and puts nearly all American retail businesses into the toilet along with American manufacturers. They really don't need to hide behind American sounding business names for resellers any longer. Imagine "Harbor Freights" in all merchandise product lines.

In my field (oil and gas engineering) China metal is junk, their metallurgy is a joke compared to the US or Germany. We see Chinese steel fail inspection constantly while US and European steel hardly ever has any issues.

I see no need for FDA regulation. Ecig production isn't driven by the tobacco companies although they are conducting their research and trying to get onboard. There is still much to be determined about ecigs, but don't forget about the thousands of additional chemicals added to cigarettes.

I order all of my liquid through an American based company and starting to think, nicotine is the least of the addictive chemicals in analog cigarettes. I can swap out my low dosage nicotine with nicotine free liquid and rarely notice a difference. I also buy bulk liquid and sell locally. I gave a friend a free bottle that was nicotine free and he didn't even realize. The absorbtion rate is much lower without the assisting chemicals. Is it the best alternative to smoking? Probably not, but it is better when you miss certain chemicals like arsenic.

As for the china based companies, their facilities are top notch. Will I ever trust china with their track record? Probably not, but they are the originators and most experienced on the topic. I can talk all day about this but I gotta go. If anyone wants to talk ecigs, shoot me a PM. Almost two years cigarette free!!

Sorry, Meant didnt know you used ecig. Yes I believe nicotine is least addictive part of smoking. I had to ride with brother for 2.5 hours and even though he told me I could use ecig in his car I declined. I never once had any issue or withdrawal going or coming back. 3 months ago I would have had to stop at least 3 times.

Heck when I was a child I decided I wanted to give cigarettes a try. So while my mom was busy in another part of the house, I grabbed her pack of cigarettes off of the kitchen table and high tailed it out into the woods. So I lit up one and sucked in the smoke, full of anticipation. After the coughing and choking stopped, I figured I must have just gotten a bad one. So I tried another. Needless to say, I ran back to the house as fast as I could and put that pack of cigarettes back where I found them, and that was that. I asked my friends about this and they said that I just had to get used to it. I looked at them like they had lost their minds. "Why would anyone DO that?" Frankly, I thought it was just insane to subject yourself to something like that. And quite honestly, over the years, that opinion hasn't changed a bit.

Yup, same here. No more asking people to stop on a road trip so I can smoke a cigarette. Feels great not having ashes all over my car, stinking like crap and hearing comments all the time, and did I mention how great it is to have my lungs back!

Ecigs can kill me in 20 years and I probably wouldn't regret as much if I was smoking cigarettes, which killed me every day.

Got the wife on them ETwigs few months ago
Life is better around here without all the stink
She bought a used GreenSmoke kit off her daughter and seems to do ok with it.
Caught her smoking on it for 30+ min the other night.

I'll do it for hours sometimes just because its so enjoyable. It feels more like a hobby than an addiction. Although, all the different gear, combos, voltages, accessories etc is definitely addicting.

Great Tommy. We are talking about upgraded types of ecigs (not sure how familiar you are with them) but I won a greensmoke kit in a contest. For a cigalike they are not bad at all. If your wife would like something more advanced with more options just let me know. The main thing about staying smokefree is having back up's. Basic kit would be 2 batteries, 3 or 4 atomizers, a 5 pack of atomizer replacement heads and 2 or 3 bottles of different flavored nic. A decent starter is about $60.00

Greensmoke can start getting a bit expensive because the batteries dont last long and cartomizers can be spotty. I have converted 5 people so far and 4 of them are completely off cigs and the other one went from 2 pack a day down to half pack. Best of luck to your wife!
