    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    Addendum: 01/10/2026
    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

an issue has been called to my attention

i had recently shipped a pastel. when she was shipped she was in perfect condition.
the details are;
overnight air shipping in standard shipyourreptiles gear (box, foam insulation box, coushin mateial, pillowcase, and 72hr heat source tped to the top if the inside foam lid)
my question is, on the back of her eye you can see flesh protruding that was not there when she was packed.
has anyone ever seen this before and does anyone possibly know the cause?
would flight pressure cause this?
thank you all for looking heres a picture:

I've seen that on one of my normals before, and it doesn't appear to be a major problem...and I think it went away after a few sheds. Do you have any clearer pictures?

It is a stuck eyecap. It will be fine after a few sheds. Don't worry. :)

You can try and take it off now, but I suggest waiting until after a shed for the best results.

i dont have any clearer pictures as i dont have the snake anylonger. she was shipped and upon arrival had what you see in the pictures. a few people have told me the same thing so it seems pretty consistent with what others have told me. does anyone know how this type of thing happens? and possible ways of preventing it in the future?
thank you for the help very much.

I've got a couple snakes that show that once in awhile. Never thought it was a stuck shed, but i'll have to look closer. I always assumed it was just part of their eye insides.

I'm with Heather - I also had this on a snake I received and after the next shed and proper humidity before the shed, it was gone.
